Thats the stupidity of the parachute payment system.
£32m to share out amongst Champ clubs for each relegated team who go straight back up.
How would you feel if you were say Pompey and your final game was home to Brum, you are safe, but will only keep your job if you lose and your club get their share of the parachute money ??
Its absolutely stupid. £48m reward for getting relegated -then the teams who arent in the chase for promotion have an incentive to see you go back up.
I wonder what would happen if this was legally challenged.

The parachute money makes a big difference and just shows how difficult it really is for the other teams in the championship to compete.
