I watched Kadeem Harris today

Tue Feb 07, 2012 5:39 pm

I went to watch the development team against plymouth. We were losing 2-0 with about 5 minutes to go when i left (loyal supporters).

Kadeem done ok. He is direct and he likes to run with the ball at his feet. He's quick though the boy marking him in the first half was just as quick. He still has plenty to learn and sometimes chose the wrong option (as is expected from an 18 year old)

There were a few players on show who i'd never seen before. The centre forward and left winger (9&11) did ok but don't know if they'll give us anything new. Our right back seemed a good player and used the ball well. Also number 10 looked decent and i havent seen him before.
I have to say though the best player on the park was Tommy Sullivan. I thought he looked top drawer. I think he is only 16 but his first touch is superb, he always picks the right option and he seems to have loads of time on the ball. He's still slight but the centre midfielder for plymouth was a beast and Tommy made him look like a sunday league player. I seriously think this lad is one for the future and is definitely a name to look out for. :ayatollah:

Seen Tommy O'sullivan is a great prospect, seen him play a few times now, and he really shined when we played spurs in the youth cup. I think it wont be long till he be playing first team football.

Yeh i thought he played well against spurs but he was arguably better today and bearing in mind he was playing against men, i was very impressed. I think he only gave the ball away once all game and was always looking to make things happen :ayatollah:

Thats a tough question to be honest. It's difficult to make an impact in those reserve games as the pace of the game, quality of the pitch, no crowd etc is so different.
The lad has definitely got pace and ability, he seems to have excellent balance when running with the ball and he gives us something we are missing at the moment. But he is raw and will often frustrate by picking the wrong option now and then.

So the answer to your question is i honestly don't know if he can give us something extra this season. My hunch is that he will be a wildcard and someone to come on off the bench til he matures a bit, but i could be well off the mark after just seeing him once :ayatollah:

This is where CCPlayer comes into its own. To be honest I don't tend to watch much of the video's of the various youth, development games but they are there, think the last one I watched was our youth team v Liverpool youth team where Joe Ralls was head and shoulders above the rest of the guys on show, think i put on here.

For a few quid a month, less than a pint if memory serves me, well worth it. I have no connection to the company that provides this service whatsoever just want to make sure it keeps going as it is invaluable to us expats. Young BB signed up the other day and I think he is quite impressed.
