The BIG difference in the two sports is that rugby fans dont like to pay to watch there local teams play only the national team.So professional rugby will never work in Wales.

The 4 teams wish they could get the support that the swans and CITY get , they never have or will.

At the moment i am reading the KEENOR story 1920s City had massive crowds which the local rugby papers eggo ,w.mail were jealous of as no one payed to watch the local rugby teams.

With a bit of luck the blues will go bust then they wont be here much longer.

The WRU were happy to see the Celtic Warriors go under a few years ago, not sure about the Blues though. They would probably get bailed out, just like the Scarletts have, half a dozen times.

They will most probably get a full house there now (11000) as a sign of protest to show its a better atmosphere there.
Good Riddance to them.....just make sure they pay up all their due rental fees for breaking their agreement with the City.

8000 is the max they can have, for the time being, but im sure they will fill that back at the AP.

When rugby was an amateur sport and the welsh teams wernt regional, the stadiums were packed out week in week out with real intense rivalry! For some reason the welsh public haven't taken to the professional regional era! Shame realy! Whenever I see old footage of club rugby in wales, the singin from the crowds realy does make the hairs on the back of yor neck stand up! Its a shame regional rugby in wales is going down the drain, I hope they get it sorted!

Probably all about local pride & identity. I mean every valley town & village have or had its own club, & culture along with that.
To try & bully smaller clubs to affiliate with the Big guns, Cardiff, Newport, Swansea was never really going to happen.
What ever happened to the likes of Pontypool, Bridgend, Pontypridd, Newbridge & a host of other past RFC's.
I'm no fan of RU, but i don't think regionalisation in Wales has really taken off, unlike that of Ireland.

formulate an argument or dont bother posting
youre boring and repetitive with no common sense to add for reasons for not liking rugby

They are desperate to leave our ground, but they have 17 years left of their contract with us.

I'll be glad to see the back of them as long as they agree compensation to buy out the contract they have agreed with the club. Although the club will lose revenue from this the playing surface will no doubt improve and that will be priceless to Cardiff City Football Club.

It will be interesting to see if this cold snap continues how good the undeground heating is at the Arms Park, in my opinion thats the type of thing that the dinosaurs who follow the Blues haven't really considered.

I wonder what will happen to the Premier Seating ST will PMG have to write it off, repay monies and will it affect the repayment of that debt. That will be interesting.

Gary, I would love to see the back of them, they could get out of paying us by going into admin etc and then starting all over again. Nothing would surprise me nowadays. Be great for our pitch. PMG will have covered all angles, I reckon.
