Decisions Decisions Cardiff V Liverpool

Mon Feb 06, 2012 6:38 am

I was talking to a couple of Bluebirds season ticket holders this morning, both grew up supporting Cardiff and having Liverpool as their premier team. When asked who they would be supporting in the final i was amazed to hear them saying more than likely Liverpool, reasons for this is they have always wanted to see Liverpool in a final as they can't usually get tickets and the fact that Liverpool will more than likely win so they'll have something to celebrate.

Couldn't believe it myself, but they are genuine responses from CCFC ST holders, they also mentioned there is a coach load in the same boat going from Penarth, all CCFC/Liverpool fans but going with their premier league team.

Thoughts??

strange comments from a club who threatened any man utd fans wearing colours in their home section would get ejected from the liberty.
perhaps the truth of the matter is that lots of liverpool, man utd and chelsea fans bought season tickets at the liberty so they could watch their teams for the same reason as you outline above
thoughts?

Spoke to one of these types on Saturday and i knew he has always been a Liverpool fan. Last season he was a season ticket holder with us. I asked him is he going and who was he supporting ? His reply was he has the chance of a ticket for him and his Boy who is the same as his Dad, and he was hum and haring and said i dont mind but if you held a gun to my head and asked for an answer i would most probably say Cardiff and my Boy would feel the same. And he always goes around with a Liverpool tracksuit on. He said Cardiff was his local team . :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I don't think anyone who is a true CCFC fan would want Liverpool to win that day (with the exception of Craig Bellamy for completely fair reasons  ).

I grew up liking Liverpool as a second team, but would never even remotely have thought about supporting them against us at any stage - that's just crazy - if they do beat us, the best that can be said is that it won't be as quite as bad as if Man Utd were there, but on that day, they are the enemy and there would not be even the slightest feeling of torn loyalties - CCFC are and always have been my team :ayatollah:

My thought is that you tell porkies !!! You're sick and tired of all the Swansea fans who really are only there coz they support Man U etc so you made this up. It's the Swansea support you're angry at really coz you thought you'd have good crowds and they'd support Swansea , but instead you got crap crowds who wanna watch Man U etc (as said previously - you even have to warn them not to wear the Man U shirt to the game and one thicko still did!!!!)

Why don't we just bomb Penarth!! bloody coach load of Swansea to every game now coach load of Liverpool

What is Swansea's obsession with Penarth

That's almost as bad as your club having to ban Man Utd, arsenal, Chelsea etc shirts as all the plastics were wearing them!

One was it? Ummm, if yo ucan me honest on here you would admit most of your new season ticket holders are Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea supporters. Thats why you can pick up a £10 ticket when those teams are not in town.

Honestly the posters on here have to be the biggest bunch of remedials i've ever come across on the internet.

My original post is the truth, so i just wanted to know your thoughts, apparently there is a lot more doing the same thing.

As for my team, tickets are very hard to come across home and away, you can make up anything you like to make you feel better but facts or facts.

Do you honestly think you'll get promoted this season ??
