Will you support Malky no matter what happens...

Sun Feb 05, 2012 8:25 pm

This season?

I believe we have a top manager in malky mackay and i will support what he is trying to do here even if we don't win another game this season. (though this won't happen)
He is young and he will make mistakes but as he showed after he middlesboro game, he is quick to learn and ready to adapt.
Whether we go up or not i cant wait to see who he will sign in the summer. i was surprised he didnt use the foreign market in january but having thought about it, it would always be harder to expect someone from the continent to settle and hit the ground running without a pre seasin to adapt.
It honestly baffled me that some of the same people who said amen to gwyns speech on friday were slagging malky off on saturday.
This team and manager deserve our respect. they have already given us far more to cheer about that wmany of us expected this year, yet some of our "fans" simply cant wait to see us falter!
Like Polo said yesterday, supporting cardiff city is avout far more than "getting to the premiership" and i will be there of we were backin league 2.
Let us all unite behind malky and the team and give them 110% from the stands for the rest of the season :ayatollah:

After watching City since 65/66 season i have to say that this is now our best time ever.We have a new stadium to be proud of, a board who know how to make us strong with good management. The manager is young with modern thinking we need to back him even if he makes mistakes, we need to get behind everyone from top to bottom of our club.

This is OUR club who have gone through differcult times moving to a brand new stadium it hasnt been easy. But every year we have progressed (maybe not as fast as we hoped) but we havent lost our momentum of going forward each year.

Hope that everyone gets behind our club if we play badly and lose dont boo, back the players who are giving it everything if we are not good enough we try again next year.

As for the new fans you have been spoilt with watching good players good football ,wembley was always a dream for us oldies not something that happened every 2 years.

If this offends anyone then you are supporting the wrong team. Always a Bluebird Rob :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Yes I will, no matter where we end up this season.

He never had the tools to really be a top 2 team this season, just my opinion.

By tools I take it you mean money? He's got everything else

Whatever else happens this season, Malky has done a superb job so far, he has all the makings of someone who will manage at the highest level.

He took over with a 3 year plan and this is just the I itinial stages.

I have always expected play/offs but we are doing better than predicted

Why wouldn't people? He's taken us further than most of us dreamed back in August.

I don't know mate. I wish all our fans thought like you but i'm amazed how quick some of our willing to turn into critics

A 3 year plan would suit me fine but i honestly think next year will be our year. Looking at how quickly malky has put the foundations of a good side together, i think the addition of a bit of pace and flair as well as bulking up the squad a bit when those who are surplus to requirements run out of contract this year and we will then become a real force who will take some beating. :ayatollah:

Yes 100%. I just hope no one poaches him from us. If that happens it will become apparant very soon what a great manager he is. He will only get better.

Yes malky can have a bad period or two this year
and even if we finish mid table this has been a cracking season

Trouble is expectancy is notched up yet again by current form

Like all managers its a results business and if we are in the bottom three this time next year a la Watford last year
his job will be on the line and we will all want him gone.

But Your right he has all the makings of a top class manager--I particularly like his cool demenour and profffesional attitude

Dave Jones is a poor second best

Our fans like every other Club are very fickle and I am pretty sure that if we lost 3 or 4 on the trot which could easily happen if we have 2 or 3 key injuries. There will be many calling for Malkys head or slating him and saying he doesn't know what he's doing

However what he is doing is building the team with strong foundations by bringing in players with a real work ethic like Don Cowie, Gunnarson and Conway supplementing it with real experience with Kenny Miller and then looking to the future with good young players like Mason (Who looks a real gem) Ralls and now Harris :ayatollah:

I think we will make the Play Offs this year and if we do i know we will give any team a game as we really do not need to fear anyone and even if we fail to get promoted we really do have the basis of a strong team which with 3 or 4 additions in the summer, could go up automatically next season.

So as fans we need to show patience realise what we have got and what we are building and get fully behind the Manager and the team and see where we end up :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

anybody who is not happy with this season so far either, dont know anything about cardiff city and football or most probably, were spoilt as a child and cant handle not having there own way all the time, we are so lucky to have malky running the show that it is beyond believe how anyone can moan at anything, when all the egos left in the summer and we didnt even have a manager i thought if were lucky we might finish bottom this season. ffs, people should realise how lucky we are. :ayatollah:

Whatever happens this season this squad of players can only get better
To have a bunch of players actually representing our club with pride and a mid table finish would have suited me fine at the start of the season

imagine being a pompey, hearts, plymouth or forest fan
onwards and upwards :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

one other thing while ime aving a rant is people seem to be more worried how swansea are doing instead of seeing how well we are playing, stop comparing, at the moment they are the best team in wales, and they deserve it, good luck to em, with a bit of luck, be our turn soon :ayatollah:

Without Doubt! He came into the club with a plan and a time schedule - I suggest we give him the support over the time of that plan. :ayatollah:

When DJ Left in the summer i knew that whoever we brought in as new manager would have a HUGE task of picking up the pieces and what a harder place to start by building a whole new squad... BUT malky has done wonders i dont think anybody wouldve said that come Feb we would be in top half of Championship & The Carling Cup final, In all fairness i wouldve laughed my bollocks off :ayatollah:

Whatever May happen in Wembley - WIN or LOSE - ill back the players & manager 110%
Whatever Division We play in ill back the players & manager 110%

I know people are saying that Malky should've may have got players in before hand and this and that, But i think Malky is realising that he will need to utilize the loan window to full advantage to push for promotion - cos i think to be where we are now personally i dont think malky was expecting it!

Aslong as he's our manager then he has my unconditional support! The amazing job he has done in such a short amount of time with little resources makes me proud to be part of it as a bluebirds supporter and cardiff lad! It dosent realy matter if we fall short of promtion this season because I know malky and the players are giving everything and more to get there and that's what counts for me :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Re: Will you support Malky no matter what happens...

Wed Feb 08, 2012 8:03 pm

I'll back him 100% wherever we finish this year. Malky has been the breath of fresh air needed at our club and his professional approach is paying dividends already as we finally have a TEAM with heart who play for each other and the manager. Pity we didn't get a player or two in during the transfer window but with a couple of decent loan signings I cant see why we cant be challenging for a top 2 finish come the end of April. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

100% yes

Re: Will you support Malky no matter what happens...

Yes. has a 3 year contract.
DJ got 5/6 years, so Malky deserves at least 3 having virtually nothing to start with.
