New Players

Sun Feb 05, 2012 1:41 pm

Sorry Chaps, this may be an exhausted topic.
What players would you like to see at the club(loans)?
Who could re-energise the team ?
What positions are we needing strenghthen?
Will we change formation to accomadate players. Would you prefer two up front or a good link up man with the loan forward
I'd like to see Cowie in the middle, think he'd get more goals there. Get a natural wideman winger in.

Don't think we looked a bit laboured yesterday?

Don't think clubs bring players in to lift a squad and provide options (even they're top of the lge )?

Don't think a small squad that's got to 3rd in Feb could be feeling the strain?

I think its too early to make such calls either way. One game that's all it has been. Feel it would only take minor changes to bounce back. Hudson back in (always thought Gerrard was a liability) and maybe look at Heaton. But I trust Malky either way. We have a young manager who isn't perfect and will make mistakes. How our fan-base is oblivious to that i'll never know.

No it hasn't been one game it's been 29 lge games and a cup run that's taken us to a final.

That's a lot of hard work for a small squad. I think it's fair to say that most people including MM would like a bigger, more competetive squad. It dosn't mean we think the players or the manager are shit.

That's what the op was all about .

lets get raheem sterling on loan from them scousers - in exchange for us only giving them a mild buggering instead of a full-on smashing-in of their back-doors.

kadeem and raheem on either side would do for me for the last 17 games ......

love to think we could snaffle dj campbell - but gonna expect the worse from yet another over-hyperd transfer/loan window....

Is the quality we need out there? As money doesn't appear to be an obstacle (3 mill bid for Sordell) it 's surely just a matter of persuading any potential targets that South Wales is a damn fine place to play their football, but is the quality there?

Be nice to put one over on Brighton after the way their chairman pulled the plug on Craig Noone joining us on deadline day.

Ricardo Vaz Te!
Or Eunan O'Kane of Torquay? Class midfielder and can play on either side. Not sure he'd cut it a this level but he's only 21 :ayatollah:

Give them a run in a 4 4 2, Miller with a big frontman. Miller would be naughty if there was someone else up front with him. We could do with more height up front too.
