Just watched the goals back from yesterday, for matt phillips 1st goal, he backs off and invites the shot and then turns his back for the goal. His defensive skills do worry me as he backs off his man too often.

Always have said this that going forward he's great but when comes to the defending he's a worry

He is a class act and one of the best LB's in the Championship.

Totally agree.
Fullback is such a hard position to play, especially ones that likes to get forward, they are up and down and have to much to think about defensively. Most fullbacks will have off days now and then, over the season I would say Taylor has been exceptional.

Taylor is a quality LB, one of the finest in the division as 12thMan said. Remember the Reading game just last month? I doubt whether anyone will cope with Kebe as well this season.
Regarding yesterday though; with Matt Phillips' first goal, he blocked the first effort and the second was just very well-hit and through his legs, whilst the second was just a footrace that he lost. It happens. As 2blue said, full-back is a very demanding position.
