strength of benches yesterday

Sun Feb 05, 2012 9:41 am

i think malky was right to replace mcnaughton with darcy because kev was struggling all game,it was a good move to bring on mason as his goal proved but rudi gestede for me has always been dissappointing not going to slag the lad off but when you see blackpool bringing on two ex premirship strikers in phillips and bednar surely we should have a better quality striker on the bench ???????????

100 % agree
We looked tired yesterday, and was one of the 1st times this season where we didn't finish the game the strongest....

Could this loan window that opens on Tuesday be the make or break of this team :?: :?: :?:

I am confident that Malky has a plan B and will be bringing in a couple of quality loan signings in the following couple of weeks :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Good points.

They had a bench which is one you'd expect near the TOP of the Championship.

We had one which would be more suited to League 1.

Lets face it, we've overperformed all season and need strengthening to stay near the top.

Anything we achieve this season will be a bonus.

West Ham will go up and any one of about 15 sides could finish 2nd.

Next year should be interesting again as if the 3 North West teams come down I can see all having problems.

We however will be stronger again. All out top players on contracts for next season, most young and improving and money available (and time) for Malky to bring in whats needed.

5 defeats in 29 in a great performance, I wouldn't read too much into yesterday where without 10 minutes of awful defending we still would have got all 3.

all the watford fans that came on here when we announced malky as our new manager said his high tempo game started to take his toll on the watford players at this time off year and gradually got worse towards the end of the season, and for me thats whats happening to us,for the last few games we have looked a yard off the pace whitingham and miller haven done much lately and mccnaughton was bad yesterday, would be good to hve a stronger squad to give a few players a brak hopefully we l get a fewin when the loan window opens :ayatollah:
