" ALI WAS WRONG TODAY "

Sat Feb 04, 2012 7:50 pm

Us fans should be allowed to be heard singing our selves after a goal.

There is much to much of Ali trying to change the way our fans want to sing.

Any opinions ?

I applaud him on copying Ajax fans with Bob Marley.

But let our fans also sing.

Could not make it today as you know. This has dampened the disappointment.

Ian,
Ali, is out of control sometimes with when he plays his music.
Its a football match not a night club.

After we score, it's brilliant to hear the whole stadium sing Bluebirds, Bluebirds. Ali ruined it imo.

As usual we beggar to differ Dave, Ali had the Bob Marley song spot on, but as to the rest of the stuff he does, I am not a fan of it.

I like Ali and te stuff he does, most the song are clever depending who we play.

The song after the goal was very wrong but that's all.

The thankless job of a stadium announcer.

Cant disagree with that, goal music is a definite no goer for me. Ali totally killed the goal celebration today.

I fully agree Annis. I hate goal music but was it all down to Ali or is it another stupid idea that someone at the club has decided we should do and was Ali just doing as he was told? I also hate drums in the ground as well but so far I have managed to control my hatred of the drum and just about tolerating it. If goal music becomes the norm and a regular thing then it could be the final nail in the coffin for me with football these days and could just stop me from going to the games.

To be honest I thought it felt muted during the goal celebrations even before the music came on.
I don't like the goal music myself but maybe it will grow on me so to speak.

Raw atmosphere is the way, I hate all this orchestrated stuff. I will sing when I want to not when someone on a mike wants me to, I differ on the don't worry, I think its a song that's sung when things are down, don't see anything uplifting about it.

Ali, has the final say on all this, but he does tell them first.
I have to praise Ali for drowning out the Palace fans though. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
