" Those calling for Earnie "

Sat Feb 04, 2012 6:41 pm

He really isn't the same is he.

If he was better than Miller and Malky thought he'd fit in his philosophy Earnie would have his run, like he did earlier this season, Malky sees him every day in training, there's a reason.

He's slow, got paced by Matt Mills this season ffs.
Miller wins far more than Earnie ever will in the air.
Earnie hasn't got Miller's movement or positioning.
Earnie as proved this season has been very selfish.
I'd say their finishing is similar.
Miller works harder.

Im not sure anyone is asking him to replace Miller (well im not) but he should be on the bench. He offers more than Rudy

Disagree.

Rudy offers an aerial threat for 5 minutes or so while he's on.

Another day and Mason has got 2 goals off Rudy's flick ons today.

I feel he should def be on the bench and used more often, in fact he is never used.

Earnie scores goals for certain, but in this physical highly competitive league at his age? For a different club certainly, but he dosen't fit Malky's philosophy I am adamant.

Earnie's main threat is his pace and poaching ability, and rarely in our squad does this happen, we have Mason more capable of doing this imo, would he score more than Miller, possibly, would he add more to the team than Miller, I have to say no.

Debatable again.

Who's likely to get us more goals as in assists - Rudy.

Earnie's selfish.
As I said, Mason on another day would have had a double to add to his first thanks to Rudy's flick ons.

Is Rob still with us no he has to be on the bench he is an old head and he does score goals he would do a job for us

Earnie-wise there must be something Malky's not happy with.

Whether he's the player he was or not, he would be playing with a point to prove & a fire in his belly!

What I don't get is after a few below par performances, people are questioning Miller and calling for earnie?

You could have anybody up front, but if you're creating very little what difference does it make.

What worried me much more was how poor our defending was today......don't forget we went 1-0 up and then probably had our best spell...........but then caved in.

Marshall for the second home league game running made a huge mistake for their first, Gerrard who had a few yard start on Phillips (the 38 yr one) got turned inside out for their second and then Phillips (Matt the quick one) waltzed past Taylor for their 3rd.

I share most other peoples views we look jaded and will possibly rue not bringing in a couple more signings, but IMO Earnie is not the answer, particularly with the shape of our team most of the time.

Dont post very often, just read and laugh, but i`ve been told by a someone who knows earnie very well that RE & MM have had a big falling out and they havent spoken since mid Nov. Dont know why, but Earnie had agreed a deal to go to Vancouver White Caps but it fell through at the last minute and he is gutted.

Rudy could be good, but Earnies proven, and should be on the bench No Question!! But Doesnt play beacuse above!!
