Is the tide on the ebb?

Sat Feb 04, 2012 9:56 am

If we gain promotion this season and the JB's stay up that'll really put football on the front foot in South Wales, long have we been in the shadow of the Egg but the tide is slowly changing and the South Wales media will have no option but to give us some serious air time, may even hit a spot with some wannabe Scousers and Mancs whose plastic coating may melt and they'll realise what they've been missing for such a long time and how much more satisfying it is to support your local team and actually attend matches. :D :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I do wish there wasn't this rugby vs football rivalry but I have to say it is a rivalry ignited by the rugby side. Football keeps itself to itself but then rugby is flashed all over the media as the main Welsh sport. Personally, I think it's obvious that football is the number one sport in Wales but I know loads of people that like the rugby so it's a shame people can't just accept that football is more popular but rugby is also popular. In some cases it seems people can't like both?

More than half of the people who go to my local rugby club support city so i dont see a problem with watching both (I personally dont like rugby) after 27yrs have finally converted my husband to the city and that was from taking him to wembley and the last two seasons away games
