Wales in terms of sport is booming at the moment welsh football team is ona great position thanks to the late Gary speed RIP cardiff city in the carling cup final and third in the championship 3 points behind the leaders with great manager Swansea in the prem doing better than anyone expected them to do even the Swansea fans didn't think they would do this good in the prem they got young players and are looking good welsh rugby getting to a semi final of a world cup and the get cheated away By a Irish mun
in may we could have two welsh teams in the prem a welsh rugby team winning the six nations and a welsh football team progressing even futher with the great players that we got
people are starting to notice wales as a sporting country and I've noticed this on alot of times when I went to Spain last year
there was Spanish people in a Spanish bar watching swansea and some of them spoke alittle English and they said that they watched cardiff the year before and in the semis v Reading this just shows if we carry on the way we are progressing we can become know through out the world as a country that has done alot against all odds let's show the world when they will be watching the carling cup what great fans we are even if we are winning or losing

Agreed.

Our fans were superb at the FA Cup Final in 2008 and I think we'll be the same for the Carling Cup Final. It's great that we're getting noticed more abroad - and for all the right reasons.

Yeah it's good are club ain't getting noticed for the wrong things like debt and violence because were getting a better reputation from that and as soon as the police notice the better

Certain police forces around the country won't change, sadly. Our reputation will stick for a long time yet, just like those lovely south London travellers, Millwall.

Mustn't dwell too much on the negative, though. Like you said, it is a great time for Welsh sport and we are playing a major part in that. Makes a change!

I do some volunteer work (football coaching in Botswana) for 2 weeks every year.

Two years ago I was stopped in the supermarket by a gun toting policeman who was behind me in the queue (I had my Cardiff City shirt on), he asked me what I was doing there to which I explained.... and then said that's a Cardiff City shirt!!

he'd recognised it from the FA Cup final!!!

he gave me his mobile phone number for when I returned for me to play football with him!

quality...

That's what we want. It's got to be better than people steering clear of us, saying "watch yourself, he's Cardiff" - I've had that before (mind you, I am an ugly so and so).

Only care about CCFC and the Wales football team. Good luck to Chris Coleman. That's as far as being Welsh goes for me. Could not care less about any other 'sport'. Got much more in common with an English football fan than a Welsh egg-chaser.
