Ellerbe Arum and Dela Hoya are three of the most powerful men in the sport (boxing)today.
Leonard Ellerbe is Floyd's manager, Bob Arum is TopRank founder/CEO and Manny's Manager/promoter and Dela hoya is the face of golden boy promos( although Richard Scheafer C.E.O is also accountable)

Why?

Floyd v Manny is the fight the whole world needs to see, two of the greatest fighter of any generation will again face other opponents for reasons that are not "Genuine".

DelaHoya has stated on several Occasions that "if Manny wasnt with TopRank(Arum) this fight wouldve been made years ago."
Arum has Stated " You Cant work with Floyds People as they are to demanding."
While Ellerbe has Blamed Everyone else for the fight constantly breaking down and isnt prepared to accept any responsibility.

So instead upcoming MAY DATES the fighters have scheduled would see them against fighters within their own promtions,
Manny would be facing Cotto(TR) and Floyd would face Saul Alvarez(GB).

but thats all changed now after talks between Alvarez and Mayweather brokedown, Miguel Cotto has stepped in and signed on the dotted line,A BOB(" You Cant work with Floyds People as they are to demanding.") ARUM promoted fighter.
While Manny will now Face the Dangerous(but Stripped because he ducked Khan) Timothy Bradley (recently acquired by TopRank).

Boxing shot itself in the foot 30+ years ago.

Those "incharge" allowed the sport to become fractured by a miltitude of different organisations, allowing the moneymen to slip in and take the sport for everything it has. They now control the sport, as can be seen from the recent Khan fight. Not that anyone with even a passing interest needed that debacle to see how corrupt the sport of boxing has become. Top fighters avoiding each other for fear of losing is probably the most damning indictment of a once great sport that has now become a bit of a joke in its professional guise.

Professional boxing needs to be wrenched from the greasy, self-serving claws of these moneymen and run under one world governing body, with one belt and one world champion at each weight division.

The question is, how do "they" go about doing it?
