Carl's news on deadline day confirmed in today's press.

Thu Feb 02, 2012 11:19 am

We are all aware that on deadline day the press reported part of what Carl's rumours in that we had made a formal approach for both Sordell and Noone.
Carl took alot of stick since then about his Tommy Smith and Jamie Mackie rumours, and today Walesonline confirm that formal enquires were made for both players by Malky on deadline day.

Let's hope that's the end of the 'death to Carl' posts as once again it's proved his sources are good! If the potential deals he tells us about don't go through, how the hell is he to blame!

On a side note, I don't intend this post to be a Team Carl or Team Annis thread, I've never meet either of them personally and to that end I've got no reason to kiss either mans arse. No doubt people of had enough of the pro 'carl's update' threads, as much as the Carl & Annis bashing threads, but when I seen today's news on WalesOnline about MM's unsuccessful approach for these players I felt it should be mentioned here.

Carl = walesonline, walesonline = Carl

Is that coffee I can smell?

when was the last time something was reported by one of them without the other reporting it a few minutes later.....

yes, no knocking either but its in both their interests to support each other on claims like that to retain validity

Are you implying a national newspaper would publish a story to prove the assumption of a person who posts on an Internet forum?

I know he writes a column for them, but surely the sports editor wouldn't publish something to keep the AAMB hate mob quiet???

Or on the flip side would allow Carl to post their stories here before they break them to the nation??

Come on.......

Not meant to be a knock. But hypothetically if carl posts something on here it pays for another journalist to write a story on it a few days later as it helps maintain the credibility of one of their writers. If he's completely discreditted it does them no favours at all but ends up they've give a journo job to an internet hack (not that i'm calling him one mind).

Walesonline would print anything that anyone says  joke of a newspaper in fairness.
The amount of things posted on here by people (not just carl) that ends up on walesonline is shocking.

when carl writes for the eggo, he writes about a fans perspective and a fans view, or how a fan is feeling not giving exclusive details on signings so would not be discredited as you say for anything, he gives a fans view only

Carl, does not support the Echo, he writes want he knows and believes.

So Deano and Natman, be straight are you calling Carl a liar ?

I find Carl's updates informative and interesting.
Carl tells us that we are negotiating with a player. Negotiations break down for many reasons and yet people want to slam him for it !!!
It seemes to me that some people just want Carl to be wrong and I hate that. I don't know him , but I like the way he is prepared to share snippets if info from his contacts to those that are interested. Well done Carl !!!

I don't know the answer to that , but I'm guessing he didn't ? So what ? Our expected targets were bigger at that time and nobody knows everything !!!

If you don't like Carl's updates , don't read them AND especially DON'T try to find fault with them afterwards !!!

No definitely not. Was simply saying its in the interests of either to give credibility. Was just building on the logic of previous thread.

The South Wales Echo are not covering my back, I find that conspiracy theory like most are quite frankly ludicrous.

The club made an approach for the players, end of.

Definitely not......I was just saying that its no surprise to see walesonline reporting the same things as Carl and sometimes vice versa!

I have said in other threads that Carl KNOWS nothing. And by that I mean that he only knows what other people have told him, he doesn't have first hand knowledge like a lot of people seem to think.
