First come first served??????

Wed Feb 01, 2012 10:37 pm

I know this has been flagged up before but im confused....

I renewed my ST today (plat amb), and asked the receptionist 'so this means i can have 2 wembley tickets when i book them after the 12th??'
She replied ' Yes, youre well within the first 10,000'.

After reading some comments above (first come first served) am i ok as i was 'first come' being within the first 10,000 to renew, or, is it possible there arent 10,000 available in the first place and the 10,000 'lucky' possibles have to run and scrap to be first in queue on the 12th for the (fewer than 10,000) tickets available?

If the latter is correct i fear there will be mass complaints as, not for the first time, the wool has been well and truly pulled over loyal supporters eyes.

Not clear is it.

I would imagine it is the first 10,000 to renew. If that figure is passed before 9th February I would expect the club to inform anyone else renewing they have missed the boat.

Yes, that seems the obvious, and seems to be what most people feel is correct. Just 1 or 2 contradicting stories

Just been on official site and its actually a bit clearer. It says that 'existing ST holders renewing by 5pm on 9th will be eligible for 2nd ticket option although the 10,000 figure could be reached by Friday.' Then it says something on the lines of '2nd ticket option available subject to availability as we edge closer to the 10,000 mark. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The first 10k to renew will have the chance subject to availability is how I read it. No guarantees.

Yep.....18,000 present ST holders.
10,000 renew means 28,000 tickets are assigned.
so that means there are 3,000 left from the 31,000
However, if we get say 5,000 new ST holders then they will be given priority over the renewalls.
So only 8,000 renewals will get a 2nd ticket.

Right so if we get 13,000 newbies then none of the renewals will get a 2nd ticket.
So any newbies after 13,000 could really be pi**ed off.

Think i'll put a tin helmet on before saying this......
But i'm a platinum Ambo! When the club advertised this scheme they said 'as a reward for your continued loyalty'. How do you know new renewals will get priority?

Actually, think you maybe right, but they will actually make an announcement when the 10,000 extra ticket mark has been reached.

I dont but I would expect them to.

We are talking big numbers here for a plato who renews not to get a 2nd ticket. I expect the 10,000 to be reached by the 9th. I dont expect 13,000 newbies to join us before the Wembley tickets go on sale. However 3,000 newbies is achieveable which means that some of the 10,000 renewals could lose out.

Personally I dont think all 18,000 present STs will go to Wembley. I expect 10,000 renewals therefore making it 20,000 definates to go. Out of the remaining 8000 platos I would expect half to go so pushing us up to 24,000. Then add all the newbies to that. I would say if we are lucky we will get about 4,000 of them therefore making it now 28,000 going on the M4. that leaves 3,000 for the away fans to fight for. Well there are only 700 of them so there will be just over 2,000 for the pond life plastics.

Just heard from horses mouthso to speak, that ALL those 'first 10,000 WILL get an extra ticket NQAT.

The 'subject to availability' etc is to prevent litigation etc. to cover themseles.

The person also was cheesed off that people were suggesting otherwise.

Believe me, this should pu the whole thing to bed
