Has The Prem Gone Poor or is it The Champ thats got better?

Wed Feb 01, 2012 9:30 pm

I'm up in N Wales working and in the hotel/pub watching
Sunderland v Norwich.
Its my first SKY match this season (don't have Sky as never home!)

The game is really poor, passing and execution poor and its very scrappy.
I've only watched city games but from this Premier League example
I think we have nothing to fear against any bottom half teams should we get there.

Cardiff play better football on times and would deffo hold their own should they get there with
The added quality you would think they'd get in -if they did go up.

bit of both imo the championship is a lot stronger than it was a couple of years ago whilst the Premier has got weaker

The premiership has gone backwards massively.
You only have to look at the european failings of the big boys.

Premier League has been piss poor for the last 6 or 7 years since I've been watching footy. Did get exciting in Mourinho's first 2 years at Chelsea though, liked the way his team played.
But the only reason I dont have Sky Sports any more is because theres too much Premiership on there, and not enough of the Football League.
However I do think the Premiership is a lot more open at the top this year. With Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs all competing for the top few spots, unlike a few years ago when it was Man Utd and Chelsea fighting for the top 2, and Liverpool and Arsenal fighting for the other Champs. League spots.
Championship all the way though! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

A bit of both. I think the top 5 or 6 in the Championship have got a lot better and the bottom 5 or 6 in the Prem have got worse.

Must say, with the "Top 4" becoming a "Top 7" it's made the league a lot more interesting, and it's probably the first year for me in about 5 or 6 where I've actually paid any attention to it. Would be nice to see someone like Man City or Spurs break up the monotony of the same old Man Utd - Chelsea - Man Utd - Man Utd - Chelsea - Chelsea - Man Utd.
