after all the uproar last season about leaks on messageboards is the club trying to discredit certain individuals by releasing certain information to them

It's not beyond the realms of possibility, which is a shame because the people you are referring to haven't done it with malicious intent. They are Cardiff City supporters through and through, which seems to have passed some people by.
