It was only a few months back that we had lost 13 first team players and a manager. We had to bring in many players and a new, largely unproven manager. We had to form a brand new team in one of the most competitive leagues in the world, most would have accepted a safe mid-table position this season.
Malky and the board did very, very well and managed to bring in a great set of players during the summer who have performed so well we're now just 3 points off the top of the table after 28 games. I'd have laughed in your face if you'd told me this in the summer.
We earn a vital point away against Southampton but just because we missed out on a few signings (which you'll be suprised to know happens a lot in football for all clubs) in Jan all of a sudden people are starting questioning the club's staure, the manager and the Malaysians. All of which baffle me.
We wouldn't be here without the Malaysians or Malky. They've done an immense job with us this season and are ensuring that we once again look to compete for promotion. A lot of things can go wrong when trying to sign a player, it's not as easy as it looks on Football Manager. People need to gain some perspective and stop baselessly questioning the club.
