I have never been a negative poster and rarely post about the politics of my club but this window has been open for a month and our promotion rivals have strengthened their squads for the battles ahead,we all know we need a winger and a striker at least,if KM goes down we are left with a worse scenario where Malky has to play someone he doesn't rate "Earnie",is that good for the club?,do you think Gestede or Mason could do the job for a long period? my argument is we are now having big crowds and selling lots of merchandise and we are in the carling cup final which means extra revenue and for people to keep banging on about we should be happy are all hypocrites.I am a fan and I want to see my club kick on from here
not fall behind, yes we have a good 11 but that ain't enough at this level. There were many good players available this month and we got none, and please save the crap of me being an impatient fan,I have watched City since the mid seventies and never seen us in the top flight so give me a break,
this is my opinion. In Malky I trust but that doesn't mean he gets everything right, lets not wrap him up in cotton wool.We are still the paying customer.......Rant over

You said yourself you've been watching football a long time, so you know the score when it comes to deals. We were all set to nab Sordell as Steve Davies said, he was on his way to us to have his medical when his agent when running off to bolton at very last minute and they gazumped us! Brighton kept wanting more and more money for Noone, which MM thought was too much.......its not as if Malky didnt try to get more players in, or even the fact we had no money as a £3m fee was agreed with watford, circumstances transpired against us thats all.

Exactly. Personally I think 3mil is a lot for us to spend on one player.. The fact that the club have showed that amount of intent speaks volumes to me... Seems a lot of people are getting ahead of themselves in thinking we'd be in the premiership if we'd signed these plyers.. I've said it over and over, 8 months ago we had no team and the plan was for survival and to re-build.. We are in a position way beyond our expectations, sit back and enjoy the ride

Unfortunately the guy is right. teams around us have strengthened their teams,
birmingham will be the league champions if they beat southampton saturday.
that leaves us having to overtake a west ham team who have spent even more money,
We've allegedly got richer owners and we cant even buy craig noone.
I'll finish on a positive Note :
we have all seen what happens to the big spenders in this league they fail. and the teams like blackpool, swansea, your hull city's your burnley's earn promotion..

not sure what time of the season you think it is? there's another 18 games to go yet

Still not convinced we had that amount to spend. Never mind its in the past now.

if we had a bid accepted for sordell of £3.2m what do you think was going to happen if he passed his medical?

Sensible Post; On the positive We basically have the same players that have got Us where We are and there's no serious injury problems, I will say that Mr Houghton's spending seems to look like He's earnt His Clubs backing, Where westham and Sam A'l seem to be on a panic spree, West ham are under big pressure to deliver, And They will not replace Parker no matter who They sign, They'v been lucky with results of late to say the least.

Yeah, but why wait until the last day to do the deal? or at least have some backups in place.

The earlier you go for a player, the more money the selling club want, the more time they have to alert other clubs of the availability of the player. We went for Noone with a week or so to go and Brighton stalled, changed their mind and upped the price.

Craig answer one question - who will replace miller if he gets injured and do a job in a 4-5-1 formation?,and for the record slating Malky I am not but we are third and all I wanted to see was continuity,a striker to compete with or cover for miller,we all know we needed a winger and a striker didn't we?...... have we got either?........NO!
Wed Feb 01, 2012 7:23 pm
Your entitled to your opinion of course but to say we only have a good eleven is complete shite

Disappointed aswell mate, hopefully the backup will be quality loans from the Prem.

I don't see strength in depth for a promotion run in,a couple of injuries which will happen and we are in trouble.

It's pretty much indisputable. This squad has been doing immensely, but we've been batting above our average.
We're a Kenny Miller injury away from tumbling down the league. Sad but true.
