for a while now malky has been saying we need 2/3 new players to help give us the boost in january, now i understand we went for Noone, and according to carl, the deal has been alive for 3 days and then fell through which tells me that brighton wanted more than we would offer.
HOWEVER, i am really fed up of the "we will only sign the right player" now if Noone was the only player we went in for, then surely that says the staff couldnt even find a player as a potential other option to buy. if the excuse is "we couldnt find someone to fit out sqaud then maybe we need a new scouting network"
now im glad we didnt go and splash the cash on anyone, however if we really did offer £1.5m for Noone, then surely we could of used that and picked up one or even 2 players in league one who might strenghten certain positions that have the quality, and as we seen over the past two years, players in league one can make a step up and make a difference.
IN MALKY I TRUST THOUGH......... and i suppose we must now wait till the loan market opens up and PRAY, he can "find the right player"

Yes all transfer window we been linked to noone, and it looks like brighton got greedy at the end, but how do we no malky didnt speak to him? If he thought that noone was as important and the final piece in the jigsaw he would have paid the money, to me i reckon he spoke to him and seen him as someone who mite upset the dressing room which he cant afford to spoil right now. Its not like the dave jones days lets just sign anybody, malky realises on good attidude

maybe he did, but i think its a little strange, as carl said for 3 days the deal was still on. now a manager always have about 5/6 players they like who would fit in, how did we spend 3 days to find out noone wouldnt be the right piece, im happy we not jjust splashing the cash, however i do feel something strange is going on especially regarding every other club is finding their right players, but we cant seem to find a right player

The dust has now settled on a day that started with genuine optimism that we would be able to strengthen our squad with a couple on quality signings, alas the day ended as was predicted by myself and a few others on here in abject failear, now i know that malky's groupies dont want to face some facts but please try..fact one most of us now know that the manager had sufficient funds to strengthen our paper-thin squad, for reasons we may never know,he failed to do so .....fact two 2 weeks ago he offered Brighton 4ook for Noone now we find out that Noone was now considered my Malky to be worth over a million pounds all in the space of a week, now i believe you have to test the water but i think Malky has to be prepared to dip more than his big toe in,i was willing to give Malky till the end of business tonight to prove my theory wrong that for some reason he just dosent have that little bit of self believe in his ability to make the big transfers happen and hides behind crass comments like knee jerk reactions,no i think Malky is more at home making low risk transfer decisions,a fault line in his character that might cost us promotion,,,,,,one last thing for you groupies to mull over, how many of you, hand on heart thought that we would be able to hold on to that 1 goal advantage at Southampton,be honest you just knew that Southampton would draw level and dare i say that quite alot of you thought that the home team would nick it in the end so when we managed a draw the relief from you lot were quite palpupal and we had the usual rubbish about a good hard point gained.........no, good teams hold onto the lead 2 points dropped I'm afraid..
