JAMIE MACKIE LATEST....

Please don't shoot the messenger for this, I am merely relaying something I have just been told.

A close friend of mine is married to a professional footballer who is very good friends with Jamie Mackie, they go on holiday together, eat out regularly etc. Anyway, I text my friend earlier today to ask if she knew anything about Mackie coming to Cardiff. She said that they were out with him and his girlfriend last week and that he mentioned that he had heard the rumours linking him to Cardiff but that no actual approach had been made for him and that he had been told by Mark Hughes that he was staying put. In any event he is very happy at QPR.

Obviously if QPR make some signings before the deadline then that could all change but at this moment in time the goss surrounding Mackie appears to just be rumours and nothing more. Shame as I think he would be a great addition.
