Looking back I think last teams squad was overrated by us fans.
Only Bellamy an Jay would be good enough for our current team.

Re: dave jones

Chopra and JET could be playing in league one next season.

Bothroyd will be warming the bench in the championship next season.

JLS will be head banging 5 times a day.

Bywater is warming a bench in league one.

Olli is finished

Koumas is finished

No wonder we are still in the Championship.....nothing at all to do with the manager.

If your old company was paying you full pay would you go and get another job?
Basically working for free. I certainly wouldn't.

I read in last weeks Echo interview with Whittingham that DJ's match tactics just involved telling the players "just go out and play how you feel is best"... hard to believe but Whitts said it himself.

We all know DJ was quite a lazy manager, but just what exactly was he doing to earn such a generous salary?

Quite silly to think that really, a lot more managers should try it if true

I think he was saying MM is a lot stricter with instructions where as DJ let them use instinct.

Thats up for questioning....did he win us anything? .......did he get us promoted?......ah yes we progressed with him.....just watched the likes of Swansea overtake us.

Lots of teams have gone backwards. In the end he failed for us but for someone with no plan A or B and just said do what you want I'd say it makes his achievements even more astonishing.

The thing is a lot of our fans seem to think that we deserve the premiership.

There's nothing we've done that makes us deserve it.

I also don't buy this "biggest budget ever" meaning guaranteed promotion. You would expect our most recent and most successful manager to have the highest budget in history. Doesn't mean it's anywhere near enough for promotion without some extremely good signings/management.

Even more remarkable really, quite a manager.

In a nutshell Malky is on half the salary Dave Jones is on and has given at least ten times more passion, effort and commitment. His recent interview was a real eye opener and exposed Jones' shortcomings.

Luke, you have now persuaded me that anything Jones 'achieved' whilst here was by sheer luck and coincidence, and nothing to do with ability :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Dave jones is nothing but a bafoon . No passion no morals and no effort. He had won us fook all did he ? His training sessions consisted of smashing little balls (that's golf balls before you delete my thread again mods)
Malky is ten times the manager that clown was . :ayatollah:

Biggest 2 mistakes jones made:

1: thinking he was bigger than Cardiff city FC
2: putting distance between the club & the fans.

Spot-on. City fans behaved like Geordies last season. Thinking we had this god given right to walk the league. Their negativity didnt help the team in times of need.

We didnt spend hardly any money, got a few players in on loan, why should we walk the league?

Even, Bellamy, as good a player he is, was not even at 50% of what he is doing for Liverpool this season. Why? Because hes got better players around him. Got dragged down to Championship level.

We were 2nd in the table and peo-ple wanted the manager sacked FFS. It was that point that apart, from friends and aquaintances, I started to despise Cardiff City fans.

no plan b i will never ever forget being 4-0 up at peterbrough by half time but come the 2nd half we was watching them score one after the other and DJ did nothing tactical wise or even tuck the wide men in as they went 4-5-1 at start of the 2nd half after each goal vs us you could see what was comming yet we still played 4-4-2 with wide men,i always remember him leaning against the dug out at that game and many others but this one will stick with me.Us alot in the away end stood there amazed while shout/screaming for him to change it or do something,He did nothing at all and it must of been one of the only games i felt like running on the pitch over to him for a few well worthy slaps and a ban on the way.
