I know... I went there with me wifey last weekend and we spent a fortune... finding something cheap to stay in is a pain, especially when you have a wife and you can't do the ol' student stay-in-a-hostel gimmick. Our romantic weekend getaway was kinda ruined too, the hotel messed up our reservation.... we had to wait 4 hours before they prepared a new one for us. I dunno... It just seems that everything in London always goes wrong.

My mate tells me Wimdu is quite good. i checked it out and it looks decent, incl. the price. You can see them here. I'm not really sure about renting out from private owners but the hotel service isnt what it used to be anyway... Maybe I'll give it a go when we go to London for the weekend after Valentine's But damn, Why does the missus have to be a musical fanatic ? :/ London will kill me one of these days
