City keeper in the 1990's anyone on here remember him? He's a Merthyr Lad he was in my pub tonight top bloke fair Play, he also trains my Mate who plays in for goals Bangor now. :ayatollah:

Signed from BHA Summer 2000, i think the arrival of Neil Alexander was his City end. :old:

Just checked, & for the record, Mark Walton played 48 league & cup games for City, during the 2000/01 season only.
his last game for City was our last league game of the season, a 1-3 defeat away to Hartlepool Utd, May 05 2001.

I will look forward to meeting him then. Not sure if Mark is funny or dull, I will go for a bit of both. Only met him a few times recently in new job, seems a corker!

Interesting, but whenever i read about a past City player i like to check the stats, especially if its a player i remember myself.
I see that Mark was in the squad for the 2001/02 season but due to injury & Alexander/ Margetson, hardly played at all.
Another ex City goal keeper i used to talk to regularly was Tony Elliot, [cira 1996] who lived in the Caerphilly area at the time.

Yes you are right, he didnt play hardly at all that is why he was 3rd choice keeper :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

the only thing I remember was all the shouting, you could hear him anywhere in the ground. He was mental. Crap keeper though.
