" THREAT ASSESSMENT - CARLING CUP FINAL "

Sat Jan 28, 2012 1:53 pm

On Tuesday 31st January, officials of Cardiff City FC and Liverpool FC along with South Wales Police and Merseyside Police will meet with Scotland Yard for a 'Threat Assessment' meeting regarding the Carling Cup Final.

I am urging everyone who frequents this board that postings that are deemed to be inciting trouble will not be tolerated on this forum. I have already this morning had a phone call from a club official to remove one thread and you are being warned that the message board is monitored by Police and our club.

If anyone is posting messages trying to incite trouble then the club have told me today, if the poster is known, they will be banned.

I suggest to you all to consider carefully what is posted on this board as it is not welcome on here and that it is being watched by the relevant authority's.

Not being funny, but surely Police resources would be better utilised elsewhere, rather than reading message boards containing banter amongst fans. -

I agree - there are some great connections between the clubs, I can see us sharing a few friendly pints - no problem. Might leave my 118 118 wig and moustache fancy dress for the stadium though!

very sensible post by Carl - I was also getting worried about some of our idiots when I saw that post, but this post is very helpful, and I'm pleased the offensive ones have been deleted

I doubt they're monitoring 24/7 but when they feel it is prudent I am sure they will do so ;)

MB's like this (and others) are a great source of information for the police (and occasionally other clubs) if you think about it and often posters (maybe occasionally even including me  ) say a little too much

A lesson could be learned from reading Annis' posts. He rarely 'bites' at others comments, so his posts don't transcend into an argument nor do they state things that can be mis-construed. He simply states his opinion and moves on; end of.... ;)

I think we can all learn from that approach sometimes!! ;) :ayatollah:

Excellent post Carl. Some of the posts on here are, frankly, embarrassing. A good few of them don't even go to the games. Home games, never mind away. Pathetic, keyboard warriors.

On Tuesday 31st January, officials of Cardiff City FC and Liverpool FC along with South Wales Police and Merseyside Police will meet with Scotland Yard for a 'Threat Assessment' meeting regarding the Carling Cup Final.

That could be done easier, by using a skype conference call.

Don't worry ob you all have your jolly in London, say the obvious and bill it to the taxpayers.

obviously posted by man utd fans, because if you were a true cardiff supporter you wouldnt even be bothered by liverpool etc..

we had a cracking time in the cup up there a few years ago.. mingled with loads in the yates bar and they had nothing but praise for us and thanked us for the hospitality we showed them while they were frequenting the millenium stadium .
