Miller or Chopra

Fri Jan 27, 2012 9:42 pm

Out of interest who do you think is or has been the better player, not just for City but wherever they have played. Kenny Miller or Michael Chopra. I would choose Miller all day long. He took a while to settle and get match fit when he first signed for us but now fully fit, he is on fire. His past record, both in Scotland and England is not bad either. Forget about Turkey! :?

Chopra has more class, but is lazy and unreliable.

Chopra was class in his 1st stint with us, when on form he is a class act in this league but miller is far more consistent and works his bollocks off, so i would go with kenny

I think that a fully fit, top form Chopra with all the problems of his past behind him he could be a better player than Miller but the way it's been I can't see that ever happening.

As much as I loved Chopra it'll have to be Miller.

Miller. More consistent and better work rate.

Spoke to a Rangers fan today, said that he'd have Miller back in a heartbeat as he works his socks off and when you have player that does that they always have the fans behind them.

Millar everytime :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Re: Miller or Chopra

Got to be a great player on the pitch but the attitude got to be right off the pitch and thats why Miller is a winner.
After watching this season so far work rate is amazing from everyone and us City fans never see that often! :ayatollah:

Miller is quality. Chopra could not play up front on is own like Miller has this season.

:D ...didn't think so......anyway

Miller's proven at club and international level, he can also win you matches

Chopra didn't take his chance in the premiership but was one of the best champioship strikers

then again Chopra's career aint over and a hat trick against West Ham next week will do him no end of good

howzat?

I think they are both good finishers in an around the
18yd box, chopra is obviously quicker!!But for me miller
has more maturity off the pitch and appears to me to be
more proffesional........However i would like to have seen
how chopra would have played under malky??

I think chopras off field problems is the biggest difference tbh.

I agree with that.

Although I do believe that if Chopra's off field problems were gone he'd be a mid level prem striker.

Easy Miller.
Chopra is a total waste of talent and space.

Miller: hard working, proven goal scorer.
Chopra: lazy fat gambler.

Yea, tough one.

They will get you a similar goals return. But dont forget Kenny plays
the lone striker role a lot. In that role, chops would be lost!!!

Kenny Miller offers so much more. He drops, he links up, he challenges,
he hits the channels, he unselfishly drags defenders out of the box, he
tackles.

Kenny had an indifferent start but has hit double figures now and i would
expect him to get 20 goals this season now. Thats a hell of a return for a
lone striker.

Play him in a 4-4-2 and he's score even more. But his ability to lead the line
up there so well on his own is a major reason this team is doing so well!!!

Kenny, all day long! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

(and i was a big Chopra fan!)

Re: Miller or Chopra

Chopra at his best was an excellent goal poacher, at his worst he could be totally anomomous, contributing little to the team effort. Miller, on the other hand has a tremendous work ethic whether things are going his way or not, and has the ability to score superb goals.
Trevor Francis on Sky Sports this week stated that Miller was the best striker outside the Premier League. Whether this is correct or not it does show how highly rated he is. So it's Miller for me by a mile!

Millers a no nonsense Malky type of player Chopra is a Dave Jones prima donna type of player - enough said

As an all round player and their history at other clubs you'd have to say Miller, but we can never forget what Chopra did for this club - he was a star to many. I hope he sorts his problems out because he's still young enough to rebuild his career and come back strong. The championship is a worse off place without Chops.

Could you see chops or j leading the line on their own.my opinion is kenny is a class aboth these 2 players.

Chopra

Re: Miller or Chopra

Chopra has been great for us but let himself down last season and has personal problems, however Miller has had a great career.
as already said miller is totally idolised at Rangers and has been brilliant for us this season fair play remember he is at the end of his career.

so for me, Miller is the better player however if chopra had his head sorted he could have done really well in the premiership and had a great career but after all he is a prat and ruined a good career for himself
