Ok, so last time we got to the final against Portsmouth, we weren't allowed to enter whether we won or not. Does anyone know what the scerario this time round is?

No prize for runner-up, if we win we will qualify for Europe. Previous posts have confirmed it beyond doubt.

We have to win to make it. League Cup is different from the FA Cup. :ayatollah:

Do we really want European Football though?

Pros - it's a great competition, Birmingham have done well and we could too.
chance for fringe players to have their games and a bit of publicity on tele

Cons - long trips to Ukraine and Poland
Thursday night, ITV 4 and Channel Five.
Lots of league games postponed till Sundays/Mondays.

Thoughts guys?

If the opportunity of Europa league comes along - you take it!!

Malky would want to do well and utilise it intelligently. There's the extra revenue, and the ability to attract better players to the club, not to mention the exposure of the club and awareness it would provide around the world.

A euro trip with cardiff city.

In bars in a foreign city sampling the different atmosphere and the different ways of the home fans.

it is fuckin superb - just ask Brum fans and millwall, stoke even jacks etc - when do clubs like us get that opportunity now we arent in the welsh cup.

Bring it on

I'm not sure if you're getting the answer you were looking for...but I might be wrong.

I think you might be referring to the fact that the FA initially said that they wouldn't let Cardiff 'represent England' in Europe if we had beaten Portsmouth in the FA Cup.

Before the final kicked off, the FA confirmed that we would have been allowed into Europe had we won so the same thing will apply this time.
