SOME fans who have season tickets and have done for years seem to be turning on fellow City fans for only turning up for the big games. In reality a lot of people can't afford to attend every game or have other commitments on matchdays. The way I see it if ony the "true" fans turned up to every game we'd have one empty stand at or home games and only be taking 18,000 to Wembley. Last seaon we wouldn't have paid most of Craig' wages with money from his shirt sales.
Season ticket holders and away game supporters are the most dedicated and rightly so get the advantages they deserve, namely first refusal on Wembley tickets, big games etc. They have given the most time, effort and money into the club and fully deserve the rewards that come with it. However this is not an excuse to make the kids and newcomers feel less worthy. The fact is that with success comes new fans, and if we are getting to major cup finals and challenging for promotion into the most famous league in the world year in year out, we will have people turning up who weren't there on that rainy Tuesday night in Hereford 20 years ago.
This is right up there with the greatest times in the history of Cardiff City Football Club and I just feel that as long as the most dedicated fans have thier tickets, with whatever is left we should live and let live. We all know the potential of this club to be huge, and for that to happen, new people will begin to turn up and that will all start with Wembley appearences and play-off/ promotion battles.
As for the "plastic fans" from Cardiff's catchment area that "support" the Big 4 but have never been to a game.... they can get fucked

Of course we would but we weren’t drawn against them so people will be less likely to push their funds for a game v Palace but it doesn’t make them any less worthy as a ‘fan’.
The club needs 'plastics' or stick to the Hereford days 20 yrs ago as you say….

The thing is some of the glory hunters will spend more money trying and getting a ticket to Wembley than what it costs for a season ticket . I can understand people not being able to afford a season ticket years and years back, but after Peter Rids brought in being able to buy a season ticket with monthly instalments of £30 (a fantastic move for which he never gets any credit ) , I think there's very little reason why if you're meant to be a die-hard fan you haven't got a season ticket
£30 quid is what most people will pee up on a Friday night , when you think about it .
