That will be a good battle.

Well unless Hudson is injured, Gerrard won't be playing for us in the final.

Hope Gerrard does play. I'd rather Hudson focus on the league.

Really? Hudson was probably certain to play last night until Malky pulled him out injured. If you want him to focus on the league, then that's fine, but you could say the same to Ben Turner.

To be fair we kept a clean sheet last night and I thought Gerrard played well. It was unfortunate Hudson was out but it would be unfair to drop Gerrard after his performance I think. It's a squad effort, Conway has stepped in and lifted us while Mason and Ralls who previously lifted us have faded a little. Everyone is making a contribution, Gerrard made his contribution last night and deserves to keep his place.

To be fair didn't Gerrard play against Blackburn anyways?

On balance it probably is fairest to let him start but fairness doesn't win you silverware sadly : (

You're right, we shouldn't play a weaker team just to be fair to players. But I thought Gerrard stepped in and did enough to keep his place and he knows if he keeps getting picked, he needs to keep playing well to keep his place. The reason he was dropped last time was because he had a poor game away to Hull letting Matty Fryatt in to score. I think Gerrard deserves to keep his place and he knows he needs to keep maintaining the form of last nights performance to make sure he stays in the team.

Like I said, Conway's form dipped and he got dropped, now he's been recalled because Ralls and Mason had a few quiet games and Conway has grabbed this opportunity and lifted us. It's great we have players that can step in like this, I don't feel the team gets weakened at all with everyone fighting for a place and wanting to prove a point when given a chance, like Gerrard did last night.

Gerrard's distribution was terrible... saying that, Hudson's distribution is also pretty awful! I don't think it will make a difference who starts. Hudson does seem to have poorer performances in the big games though so I'd probably consider Gerrard.

Hudson, if fit will start....he's malkys captain so will be first name on team sheet.

If Andy Carrol is fit we can play Gabor Gyepes too.

Right boys, me first post I'll keep it quick and to the point. Anthony Gerrard doesn't stand a f*cking chance in hell boys, I'm telling yeah he's shit. Stevie on the other hand top f*cking draw boys we don't stand a chance.

Gerrard has to play mate, he's up their with some of the best CB's in the league.
