If we beat Southampton on Tuesday the 31st it will be very hard for them to get a lot out of their next 3 games.I've been convinced that things would begin to unravel for the Saints and I think this is it. I think the table could look something like this after the next 4 games. I believe it is most probably going to take more than 4 games to get to the top spot even if even if we continue to play consistently well but we will get there.

This table based on pure speculation looking at the next four games as you know anything can happen in football. I just think given the fixtures top spot may have to wait a bit longer than that unless West ham have a wobble.

West ham 63
Cardiff 59
Birmingham 51
Southampton 51
Middlesbrough 50
Hull 50

The form table makes pretty poor reading for Southampton fans given the coming fixtures and excellent and perfect home forms of West ham and Birmingham.

1 Birmingham City 6 4 2 0 3 0 16 3 +13 14 2.33
2 Burnley 6 4 1 1 5 1 8 2 +6 13 2.17
3 West Ham United 6 4 1 1 3 0 7 4 +3 13 2.17
4 Derby County 6 4 1 1 4 2 5 2 +3 13 2.17
5 Reading 6 4 0 2 3 1 8 5 +3 12 2.00
6 Blackpool 6 3 2 1 2 2 10 7 +3 11 1.83
6 Cardiff City 6 3 2 1 2 1 10 7 +3 11 1.83
8 Bristol City 6 3 1 2 3 3 4 4 0 10 1.67
9 Coventry City 6 3 0 3 2 3 6 4 +2 9 1.50
10 Hull City 6 3 0 3 3 3 4 3 +1 9 1.50
11 Brighton and Hove A 6 3 0 3 2 3 7 7 0 9 1.50
12 Leicester City 6 2 2 2 1 0 8 7 +1 8 1.33
13 Peterborough United 6 2 2 2 2 1 5 5 0 8 1.33
14 Southampton 6 2 1 3 2 3 6 7 -1 7 1.17

We have got to throw the kitchen sink at them on Tuesday because after this hard run of games things will get easier for them so its important to do the damage now. It could be very close between Cardiff and Southampton come the end of the season so we need to get our noses in front and stay there.

Nigel Adkins conceded that Saints struggled against Leicester and got what they deserved.

"We have a lot of players who are all close to coming back and that what having a squad of players is all about.

"Rickie Lambert is coming back, Lee Barnard, Richard Chaplow and José Fonte are all coming back, so those are just a few names that are on the tip of the tongue that would be starters in any team and all being well they will be available for Saturday, or Tuesday back at St Mary's."

This game could be the biggest we will play all season!
Cmon Cardiff lets derail them now and keep them out of the auto spots!!!!!!!!
