House of lords vote a slap in the face of working families

In a nutshell they have voted in favour of the following,

if you are claiming 26k a year in benefits (you would have to earn 35k a year before tax to earn that) you can keep you child benefit.

As a working man earning a salary that causes a man to pay 40% tax you'll lose child benefit from 2013!

(that's the way I read it anyway, correct me if I'm wrong)

What can you say other than....Broken Britain!

We lost Child Tax credit last year  and now we are set to loose child benefit. Now as i see it if you earn in excess of 44k then you loose the benefit. But if you earn 35k and say your wife earns 35k with a joint income of 70k you still get to keep the tax credit. Now my Wife no longer works due to her illness but we will loose around £80 a month due to my wages. If i am honest it is best to go on the dole and rake the money in as it just dosen't pay to work for a living. f*cking disgusting.
