"We, however, want to be prepared for it and doing so by developing our young players. We want to be prepared as we want to be competitive. We must be able to move forward when we are in the Premier League," added Mackay, who was in the Norwich team who played two matches in Malaysia seven years ago.
Very interesting comment that found in this article - http://www.nst.com.my/sports/soccer/the ... et-1.33414? Sounds to me as if he thinks we are not ready for Premier League football just yet. Looks like he is in a long process of squad building first. To me this says don't expect big things in this transfer window.

from day one i have thought this year was all about building foundations of a good team and then in the summer i believe malky will be looking to add the necessary flair and creativity to our team in order to push for the premier league.
Malky's problem is that we are doing so wellI know that sounds odd but i honestly believe that even malky didnt expect us to be doing quite so well at this stage of his tenure.
Now we are in such a good position the club are faced with the difficult decision of pushing the boat out to acheive prem football this year which would probably involve paying over the odds for players or sticking to the original plan that i talked about above!

malky always insisted that it would take three transfer windows to assemble a squad capable of promotion.
the problem with pushing the boat out is that despite how well malky has done the malaysians had their fingers well and truly burnt by jones's poor aquisitions last january and will be wary of it repeating itself.
