FAO administrationdaps

I don't know if you've been to watch your hero lately, but I went to the Gnoll last Thursday to watch Neath FC v Port Talbot.

Great atmosphere, fair play, mostly due to the Port Talbot boys - they sang virtually all game. Finished 3-2 to Neath but I spent the 2nd half in the bar, so I didn't see the best part.

Swansea and Cardiff there without any trouble. Pop down sometime - if Neath FC still exist!

I'm not the only one then  I quite often pop along to watch Neath, then spend 45 minutes wondering why I bothered, then head to the bar while my lad watches the second half.

I like the Gnoll as a venue but the standard of football is dire.

It was poor 1st half, then livened up once I'd retired to the bar! In fairness, my son stayed in the bar most of the 2nd half as well! He was enjoying playing pool with me and various mates.

The clubhouse is very cosy these days, mind. They spent a fortune on it in the last year or two.

Agreed, they've done a good job on the clubhouse. Be a shame if Neath go under, but saying that, I wondered where the money was coming from for some of the wages they are meant to be paying. I heard that Trundle was picking up a couple of grand a week!

I couldn't possibly comment on that, for fear of incriminating myself!

Ask people you know from Neath. They'll probably have a story or two to tell you.....

Hello. The only time i've seen Neath in action is during the pre-season friendlies against the swans. I do keep an eye out for their results though, what with the lord playing for them and all. Didn't realise they were in financial trouble, but when their board decided to employ a world famous footballer like lord trundle, they must have realised he wasn't going to come cheap.

Hang your head in shame! I thought you'd pop down and support him. I have and I'm a Kay-arr-diff person.
