when i follwed city in the 70sl

when i started follwing city in the seventies when i was a young kid the dress scene was nothing like the casuals to be fair itwas quiet awful flair trouses tank tops doctor martins brothel creepers wrangler and levi jackets harrington jackets white skinners brutus jeans ben sherman shirts the list is endless to be fair by the time we got to the very late sevnties and we were heading into the early eighties we went into another era which totally diffrent

I remember our lot had a Clockwork Orange stage, I kid you not, white Bib and braces the full works, some of us even learnt the language, mad being a kid.
I also remember when I was 16 and still six foot six, buying some purple leather platform shoes with 4 inch heels, feck me, no wonder I was a virgin till I was 48. lol ;)

remember a load of man utd fans at cardiff in 1974 with their white butchers coats with the club badge on the back of them

Doc's or Domo's,,,even Para's. Flared jeans, or straights,, when the new wave scene got going. Wrangler or Levi jackets with City badges sewn on the back, & yes, Donkey jackets as well. :old:

when i entered the eighties i had blonde highlights in my hair i went from having scruff cuts to that my mother didnt recgonise me she thought iwas the paper boy when i came home from having them done :lol: :lol:

I remember a City fan in the 70's who wore a butchers coat down the City regular, a big fella called Lee i think, possibly from the Fairwater/Pentrebane area?

did any of you have a parker coat or a duffle coat .if you had a duffle coat and it rained it smelt like shit and weighed like a sack of potatoes :lol:

Shopping at Gwynnes in the central market were we?

Feather cuts, patchpocket trousers with 32 buttons, platform shoes, scarves around wrist and everyone and anyone was game for a slap.

Stone fights, burglary of commercial properties and riding stray gypsy horseswere the XBox games of the 70s :lol:

I had a gut like a washboard then so it wouldn't have mattered but they'd have to come with an elastic waist for me to wear them these days :lol:

Fecking hell some shocking fashion styles which i went through them all. lully you forgot the Slade socks! I even had a long bryan ferry leather coat which being a short arse nearly touched me f*cking ankles. and a feather cut. thank goodness the casual look came along.The worst fashion accessory had to have been leg warmers aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!! :old: :old: :old: :old: :D

What about the 80's all i will say is remember shell suits i had one made in Blue & White City colours mid late 80's i think :o :D

In the 70's I wore a Cockney Rejects Jacket,Doctor Martin boots and 2 City scarves around my wrists, I thought I was the bees knees. :lol:
