Avram Grant?

There is a story that Avram Grant will be new manager of my club, Partizan Belgrade. Could anyone give me some opinions about his management skills? Is he worth 900.000 euros per season?

Has a poor record in England.

Relatively good at Chelsea, but he inherited a very strong squad.

His time at Portsmouth and West Ham speak for itself.

Very good when he was in charge of Israel. He got them playing in a very solid and organised way, causing them to finish quite high in their world cup qualifying group.

At Chelsea he did quite well, however the expectation levels there meant that he didn't stay.

Portsmouth was a difficult job for him because they were massively in debt and lost many players and the other knock on effects that come from a club on the verge of bankruptcy.

West Ham last season was a failure, however he had to deal with some high profile controversy (Karen Brady, West Ham managing director or something like that, publically stated that they were looking at someone else to replace him in her newspaper column).

People accuse him of being lacking passion and heart, however when West Ham lost a game last season, he wrote a letter to ALL fans of the club apologising for the manner of the defeat.

Terrible manager.

I think it's very hard to look at his time at Pompey & West Ham for the reasons stated above. At West Ham he was treated shabbily, almost embarrasingly to be honest.

What a start of mr. Grant. 2 games 2 points. At the end of the first part of Serbian Super league we were at 1st place and had 10 points more than red star in 2nd place. Than we have changed our great coach for mr. Grant. And after 2 weeks the differnce between us and red star is only 6 points, after 2 draws. Luckily, we have enough points, so we will not be relegated, I suppose.
