I turned sky sports on one morning and thought Andy Carroll for 3.5 million thats not bad buisness and then I was generally flabbergasted when i realised the truth.A couple of England appearences in meaningless friendlies seemed to make him the hottest property in football.
After the Liverpool fans got over the initial King Kenny returns fuss they have to relise that The club have not progressed in the slightest,still losing to likes of Fulham and Stoke and failing to put the likes of Blackburn,Norwich and Swansea to the sword at Anfield and spenmt a major amount of money

well they may have but i watched it and there crap...carroll is well a donkey and to be fair id rather have donkey from shrek up front....henderson is lost in a big club like liverpool....he was a good young player at sunderland who stood out cos he was gettign plenty of prasie and ball (big fish little pond)...now hes at liverpool he doesnt look impressive at all...and downing ..well ive never been impressed with him...total waste of money for those 3 with what they could have spent it on and probably got about 4-5 more players.

Don't get me wrong I'm not defending them and from what I have seen they do seem pretty crap. But somehow they were part of a Liverpool side that beat a very strong Man C side on their own patch

May be Downing should have come here on loan when Lennie Lawrence wanted him at least he would have leant how to defend for 90mins, if we take C Palace as an example.
