In saying the ref had a "howler" and openly criticising the ref for the disallowed goal, do you think it leaves him open to a warning/fine from the Football Association?

I doubt it.

Which decided the match, it only takes one MAJOR error.

Didn't look a free kick in normal time.
You don't blow unless you see a foul and there was no foul to be seen.

People only knew that is was an error from watching a camera reply which was from behind the goal. How on earth was he to know that!!! :?

are you saying he didn't see the incident properly MG? So what gave him the right to blow...leave it go, have a think and then decide. He is a human not a dual core processor, he should have taken every precaution?????

There was a hand on the keeper

Not a foul so why did he blow?

I didn't see anything wrong the first time but until the replay I assumed the ref had seen something I'd missed. Clearly he made it up.

Which leads to my thread last night. Is it contact on a keeper, or force onto a keeper that's not aloud, or either? It wasn't mid air, lets be honest...it wasn't anything. Mason literally had to back up and 'caressed' the keepers jersey. Besides its evidently clear that the ref didn't have a clear shot view.

We only know because of the behind the goal camera shot. The ref had a good game and he saw Mason's hand on the keeper, like it or not football is a non contact sport. The debate shouldn't be about the ref it should be about video evidence

All im saying is a leading professional ref needs to be more calculated. It isn't Rugby, im not saying take 5 mins deciding the outcome, all he had to do was try and seek advise from his lino, think again and decide, that I would be happy with. I understand your meaning by saying football is a non contact sport, it seems to be going that way....BUT IT STILL ISN'T.

Cos I am a sad b*stard im going to find the newest rule of the game tomorrow and find out if contact is aloud but without force or both aren't aloud. Im not that bothered that it didn't count cos we will have another stab at the CCS, but my need to know exactly what is accepted is bugging me. Keepers get off way too lightly these days...no contact? 8-9 players running around in a small box, of course he is gonna be touched!!!

The free kick that led to their goal was also very soft.
