Quite ready for us yet, he's a little bit raw for me, but I think he is definitely a future star.

His performance against reading has got to tell you he is ready, every player has an off game it just happened to be last night, but he wasn't that bad. He is raw any young but we need that in the team, Roll on the 2nd leg

Why oh why was he not subbed - earnie should have come on - he played 30 minutes too much in my opinion and squandrewd three chances

Ralls is an excellent prospect and is ready for the first team, but you are correct he should have been subsituted last night.

i think what would be more fair is that he is not ready for week in week out football, especially heavy pressured physical semi finals !!
he will get there but he needs to be used wisely like with mason

The only way to learn his trade and become a better player is by playing. Thought he did well and will become an excellent player for us.

He is one for the future but lastnight he was out of his depth by a mile at times you could see that after 30mins by then we might aswell have played with ten players to be honest.

Malky rates him and If he rates him, so do I
He is a professional Football manager and I trust his judgement
Ralls just needs game time in the Championship, being loaned out to the lower leagues may not improve his game much
building for the future and all that jazz, im all for it

I love the fact that even having the game he was, he was still working to get into the right positions and have a go at goal. Other young players might have just shattered. Says a lot about the lad.

Joe is more than ready, he's proven that already this season. Every player is going to have games that they don't quite do what they want or we expect - it's just football. Joe was at the heart of alot last night and on another night - yes he would have scored but then again so would Whitts and Kenny Miller. After Palace scored they were happy to defend and hit us on the break. They made the midfield area very small and didn't let us move the ball about - that led to Kenny coming too deep at times or Hudson & Turner being left with little option to play it long which suited their two centre halves(was it 2 or 6 centre halves?) Joe is in the team on merit.
