Thugs and hooligans

A while back I joined this site out of curiosity I must admit I thought the site was full of thugs and hooligans rather than true supporters However over recent months seeing what's has been done by members to raise money for good causes I really have to take my hat off to you all
I see the past as the past which can not be hidden but how this site has pulled together for good causes puts many to shame I wrote this on the back of Annis mail on how Newport county raised money for the team and I think the members of this site need praise as well
I may not get my thoughts across well in this mail but well done to you all

You obviously werent around in the early 80's when the vast majority of
City fans traipsing around Britain watching absolute shite week in week
out were what you'd describe as 'hooligans and thugs'

So your suggesting that lads who used to have a row at the football would
never put their hands in their pockets for a worthy cause????

but in fact I am full of praise here and must admit I was wrong with my initial views of the site I have followed city since 1975 so aim not downing anyone in the 80s and 90 iT just with out the forum it' was not so much in the public eye to see

A good mate of many on here got killed feller, he used to be a 'bit of a lad'
but loved this club!! and many similar fellers helped raise over 20k for his
family alongside other City fans who never used to get involved. Many lads
who used to have the odd fight would go week in week out, win or lose,
whatever the weather to watch Cardiff City. I think its rude to look down
your nose at people like that.

Thanks for that I donated to the cause you mentioned and in the past I did look down on certain elements but seeing what this board has done has changed my views that is only a good thing as I see it
And tomorrow I will be at the game singing as one as we are both city fans together

I use to walk down one side of the road while the firm use to walk down the other. Today we have met half way. I dont have time for those who have carried on walking down their side of the road.
