This Oldham player

Sun Jan 08, 2012 9:41 pm

I was having a chat with some fellow Forest fans and I have read a bit here and various other clubs boards.

There was a large number of posts that say he should man up and grow a pair.

Do any of us actually know what was said? There is a big difference for example being called a "sheep shagger" (Derby are) and "hey you ya sheep shagger, ya mother and sister blah blah"

We do not know what was said, we do not know what this young lad has had to go through in life...not everything is black and white. (no pun intended)

I think we should take a back seat and not jump to conclusions when we are unaware of any facts.

After all as fans we are the first to complain if others categorize us as hooligans etc.

I wonder if a football player shouted abuse at a spectator would that fan get the same treatment?

Just like to say im glad the mods or whoever were fast to remove a certain idiots post. I know he likes to mix it up a bit with his outspoken (pointlessly argumentative) posts. I think I speak for 99.9% when I say we all have opinions of certain sensitive issues, but its no place for this board, especially to a visiting fan who isn't being a prat, which is rare. You disgrace this forum at times.

Totally agree.

Footballers are very well paid but they do put up with loads of shit. Some fans think because they pay money they can say and do what they want. Suarez stuck to fingers up after a game and was in trouble and many example of more.

This lad was just a kid, on good money but not massive compared to liverpool and probably not used to it all and the occasion and the last thing he needs is abuse of a racist nature.

Liverpool and the clubs players have out themselves in a very bad light lately.
