Dobbie

Sun Jan 08, 2012 10:57 am

I saw a couple of threads on here regarding a possible transfer, just to update you, he didn't even make the squad yesterday so it seems that the writing is on the wall for him at Swansea.

I rate him as a player but for one reason or another, he hasn't been given much of a chance this season. As a championship player, he has two promotions in two years, can make a goal out of nothing and as an impact player is one of the best in the business. As much as I would love to see him get more of a chance, I think it's time he moved on. If there is any truth in the rumours than you would be getting a cracking championship player. (See his play off final goal, plus his cross for Sinclairs' second goal, he loves the big occasion)

He would fit in well in our new 4 5 1 formation. My biggest bugbear this season is the 5 sub rule which would mean that he would probably displace Joe Mason from the squad-Mason is going to be a top player in 2 or 3 years time.

there's no way he would replace Mason from the squad, Mason will always make atleast the bench and right now he's a first team player

If he would replace anyone it would be Conway on the bench

i can see what you're saying but it's about competition for places and for me whoever is playing well will be selected and whoever has a dip in form will be dropped.
but it's always satisfying seeing homegrown players coming through and i was chuffed to see wharton and deji on the bench yesterday

Looks very much like he's off to Bristol City in a deal bringing Maynard to Swansea.

Blackpool? 16 games, 10 as sub. Impact there minimal.

Hardly the most regular of starters for you.

Dobbie or Mason? Mason by a mile. Way more upside to him.

Joe Mason looks some player, been impressed with what i've seen of him.Dobbie would have been a good addition to any club in your position though.Couldn't you have had both?
