" FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON "

Sat Jan 07, 2012 11:58 pm

I am not upset or annoyed that we lost a game (at WBA today), I am just looking forward to Palace away on Tuesday night, I cant wait. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Semi-Final of a Major Cup, its what football dreams are made of. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Don't get me wrong I want City to Win every game, but Malky has rested his best for Palace as this is ours and Malky's big game. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Tell them straight its something like 40 or 50 years since City reached this stage of the League Cup, more important than School. :ayatollah:

10 changes and a creditable performance away to Prem opposition. In Malky we trust. We don't need loan signings. Malky just sign us a winger.

I have to say, even though I thought before the game we didn't stand a chance, hoping we would rest players for the semi final. I still ended up placing a bet on Cardiff winning knowing players from both teams would be rested. It was an equal opportunity game today, nice to see other players get a game, and to rest the key guys.

I totally agree resting our best players ahead of tuesday which is more important.

However, be honest, if jones had done that would you now be accusing him of disrespecting the 1500 fans who made the journey yesterday?

I think you would.

I'm scared to say this but what the heck I've got to stick my neck out some time.

I don't think we need much more. New players will help without doubt but I dont think it is necessary for us to have them. After yesterdays performance with our 2nd stream, I would say we have the squad to push on now.

Last time we made 10 changes like yesterday was our last game of the season against Derby a couple of years ago. We had already qualified for the play offs and on that day our team included Enkleman, Taiwo, Magennis, Feeney, Gyppes.....Very similar situation to yesterday really except the fans went fancy dress :D .

Also like yesterday no one had a go at the manager for fielding a weakened team on that day. Just felt I had to say that.

Never say never.....but after yesterday I think we have a strong squad now......however I wont say no to extra players if they are better than the ones we put out yesterday.

Haven't you been saying for most of the season that we cannot maintain our current form. I think maybe a couple of additions to our squad is all we need to fight for the top two places. For once we are consistant.
