loved the 1979/80 kit

Ninian Park end of an era home kit was nice. Also the iconic white and yellow stripe is a popular favourite. FA Cup final away shirt is up there too

moved recently and found a load of old shirts and i loved this 1

LOVE the new black and yellow 1,recently found the grey shirt sponsored by brains which i loved back then but think it looks hideous now

This at it was my first Cardiff kit.

Also the last kit we wore at Ninian was a beauty. Joma did good for a change with that, even if they used the same design from the black kit the season before.

My favourite ever City shirt was the one made by Lotto.

It was the first "decent" kit manufacturer we ever had and looked exactly like the AC Milan shirts.

Had both the home and away kit that year. If anyone has any pics of these kits, please could you post them up - I'd love to see them as I can't find pictures anywhere on the internet anymore.

i mean can you even market a nation?
just by putting it on banners and our shirts people are no more likely to want to go to malaysia

loved the 1979/80 kit

The previous kit for me but just because I preferred the stripes on the shorts and socks to the umbro detail down the shorts, thought the umbro detailing down the arm was pretty smart though.

The great thing about these two kits is that you looked at it and knew it was Cardiff City, most other kits we've had have looked like Chelsea, Everton, Portsmouth, Chesterfield, St Johnstone, Oldham, etc. This kit was uniquely ours.

The scarves that we wore on our wrists back then were quality too, like a reverse of the famous (Dirty) Leeds scarf. Someone seems to be trying to bring that back but the two modern versions I've seen one doesn't quite have the right spacings and the other that does doesn't seem to have the right tassles.

Do you mean the one with white on the shoulders? My dads got that one I think he said its from the early 90's
