Men Of Harlech Words To Zulu Version

Fri Jan 06, 2012 12:19 pm

Fellow Bluebirds, we have 2 weeks till our next home game against Pompey and wouldn't it be great if we could try to learn the following words to Men Of Harlech and sing it loud and proud: Could Annis or a moderator please make this a sticky?

Men Of Harlech Zulu Version

Men Of Harlech stop your dreaming
Can't you see their spear points gleaming
See their warrior pennants streaming
To this battlefield

Men Of Harlech stand ye steady
It cannot be ever said ye
For the battle were not ready
Welshmen never yield

From the hills rebounding
Let this war cry sounding
Summon all at Cambria's call
The mighty force surrounding

Men Of Harlech onto glory
This will ever be your story
Keep these burning words before ye
Welshmen will not yield.

This should be our anthem, it's a battle cry song, a call to arms and a declaration of defiance against the odds. If I were a City player and heard that booming out at the Cardiff City Stadium it would inspire me and I am sure the team would rally. With so many important home games coming up we really should all make an effort to boost the atmosphere. :ayatollah:

There is no need to learn all the words, just this bit

From the hills rebounding (clap, clap)
Let this war cry sounding (clap, clap)
Summon all at Cambria's call
The mighty force surrounding (clap, clap)

Men Of Harlech onto glory
This will ever be your story
Keep these burning words before ye
Welshmen will not yield.

It would be awesome :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I agree mate, we haven't got to sing the full version, and to just hear us sing the chorus and last verse would make the hairs stand up! Come on Bluebirds, this would sound AWESOME! :ayatollah:

Maybe someone like Vince or Gwyn could contact someone in the club to get Ali to play this just before the players come out with the words on the big screen it could be our anthem for every home game imagine every one singing it together it would be amazing :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
