Tshabalala - Just What City Need?

Fri Jan 06, 2012 10:56 am

South Africa's Siphiwe Tshabalala is on trial at Crystal Palace for 10 days, according to Sky Sports.

A speedy winger who can score goals, he could be what we need.

You may remember a number of Championship clubs were linked with a move for Tshabalala after he impressed in the World Cup. Forest went after him but a deal didn't materialise if I remember rightly.

Many remember him for this, the first goal of the 2010 World Cup Finals: http://youtu.be/qIUJW1ZrutE

He's out of contract at SA club Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the season, and could be rather cheap.

Anyone else think Malky should maybe invite him in for a trial?

Also: Whatever happened to the Malaysian players on trial at City? I'm guessing there's still one or two problems with those potential deals... :?
