The pictures and video are pretty damning MG, that guy was interfereing with the scorecards and passing them around, no-one is allowed to talk to the judges during a fight and he's conversing with them and passing bits of paper and even taking one judges scorecard and placing it under the table.....something is really fishy and needs to be resolved!

Anyone who lost that fight would tell you that he lost the fight. The points taken off were the correct decision

he's not moaning about the points deduction.

yeah your right, it shouldnt happen and i think it will definatly get replayed !!!

even if they didnt chnages the scores the judges should not be talking to anyone, the fight is on going and the one judge was chatting and facing the other way, its terrible !!

He has been complianing about the points deduction as soon as the fight finished. Now he's complaining about the someone talking to a judge however the guy was sitting next to him!!!! Sorry but take the defeat on the chin and have a re-match.

You can tell that David 'my bad toe' Hay and Amir Khan are good mates and it doesn't. No grace or dignity in either of them

maybe no grace and dignity, but if they felt strongly that something wasnt right, then have very good evidence that it wasnt i think 99% of us woul dbe doing the same thing

Re: Amir Khan

Peterson in contention to be Pacquiao next opponent now so may be looking at bigger things the lost could well put Khan well back in the pecking order you can see why he wants result overturned and a rematch

MG, do you know boxing at all, have you seen the video evidence? if the answer to both is YES, you know dam well Khan has every right to kick off and demand a rematch, even the original fight struck from record! If the answer to either is NO, keep it shtum until you do :D

Re: Amir Khan

Fri Jan 06, 2012 9:41 am

thats an old DJ line isnt it.....you know more because you've boxed! i used to box myself, but the arguement isnt about the points deduction, its about the mystery man and his involvement. TBH the fight could have gone either way, but that man should not be doing what he has been alledged to do. If its true then boxing has taking a turn for the worse, which is pretty hard as its one of the most corrupt sports already.

Re: Amir Khan

MG,if you was sacked for no reason, you would go to a tribunal.Same thing is happening with khan,he's questioning the decision. There's nothing in boxing rules so im led to believe, that you can have points taken off for pushing. So he has every right to question the decision

I dont need to make jokes at your expense, you do a pretty good job of that yourself. I actually said the old DJ line as a general joke at no-bodys expense, im more direct with my insults to people.

Roll the clock back 24 hours and everyone would agree that Khan lost that fight. Now this latest complaint from Khan has hit the headlines then people are supporting him. The guy lost that fight and if you watch it once again you will all see that his tactics were all wrong and he deserved it.

It was a close fight, but i believe them points shouldn't have been taken off him, then you got accusation about the scorecards.Something fishy was going on that night and i aint khan supporter either.its plain to see

Well I do believe those points should have been taken off and many of the experienced boxing names agree

If it aint in the rules, how can you come to that conclusion.

Re: Amir Khan

he spent the build up to the fight talking about mayweather and then he spent the whole fight running away from peterson. he fought a boy in is hometown where everyone was behind him, even the ref. he had to be clever, any time khan stood his ground he knocked peterson back but instead chose to run around the ring like a big girl. the ref clearly warned khan repeatedly. wether its in the rules or not is irrelevant. he carried on pushing even after the ref had warned him. so he got docked points.

although this interfering with the judges does look a bit dodgy. as did the 10-15 minute wait before the scores were read out.

Re: Amir Khan

Fri Jan 06, 2012 1:48 pm

The latest is even more dodgy. Michael Buffer (ring announcer) has come out and said he was given 3 scorecards with the decision on them a 2-1 split in favour of Khan, they were then taken off him and after another 5 mins he was given the scorecards back and they were altered to favour Peterson 2-1........something is afoot and it doesn't smell nice!

ps) the mystery man was seen celebrating with Peterson after fight.

Re: Amir Khan

If you get "robbed" on a boxing decision you never reveal your feelings of it.

You harness them and use them to focus on winning your next bout.

Any schoolboy amateur will know this :old:

the saying always was that if you go and fight in someones backyard then you might need a knockout just to get a draw.
in my opinion he did not work hard enough to achieve that and needs to take it on the chin and accept that he will get a rematch.
he also needs to stop dreaming about mayweather or paquio as he is not in the same class as either boxer

Re: Amir Khan

Fri Jan 06, 2012 2:22 pm

Steve, the reason Khan has bought all this up is Peterson has now refused him a rematch after offering him more of the split, if he had accepted re-match, i doubt this would be happening.

if true thats a disgrace but i always thought champions had legally binding re match clauses built into the fight contract.
mind you it would be a hard fight to sell to the public as it was an untidy shoddy fight by both boxers and in fairness khan has been less than impressive in the last three or four fights

Re: Amir Khan

Fri Jan 06, 2012 3:48 pm

Whatever the outcome it's bad for boxing ... The Judges should be unapproachable during the fight and for a certain amount of time after the bout. Yes Khan lost the fight IMO and yes apparently Khan was given the original decision.

They should use this whole saga to move forward and correct a few wrongs however I feel the power men will step in and more wrongs will come out.

A large nail for the coffin of this sport I love so dearly.

Khan lost fair and square it was his tactics alone which lost him the fight and nothing else. Having boxed myself for many years at junior level I'd have a guess that I know more about boxing then you and in my opinion Khan is 'clutching at straws'.[/quote]

Schoolboy boxer eh? cool. How many years ago?

That fight was close. The ref bust a gut to take points off Khan
and the decision stinks to high heaven. I dont like Khan at all
cos he's a Pakistani and im xenophobic about that country.

But hes right to be pissed off, particularly as the fucker wont give
him a rematch

Re: Amir Khan

on then they must be pretty stupid by getting this guy to influence the judges then celebrate after in the ring!! Can't see it myself!! Amir camp deffinetly getting desperate IMHO !!
