I'VE WORKED IT ALL OUT! IF WE DIDN'T HAVE MILLER

Tue Jan 03, 2012 10:18 pm

A lot of people at the start of the season, when we signed him were putting him down, saying 'what a shit signing' and 'passed it' etc.. I just worked it out how much of a difference he has made and people should realise what a good signing he was!

Our record with Miller in the squad so far is...

W 12 D 9 L 4 GD +14 POINTS = 45 - 3rd Position

If we were without Miller up the top banging those goals in, our record so far would be...

W 8 D 12 L 5 GD +7 POINTS = 36 - 10th Position

Now this post was just to emphasise how important Miller's goals have been. Not many people have realised this! But it's above for you to see. Surely if we didn't have Miller we would've had some other striker, who might have or might not have been as good as Miller, but we didn't we had him^.

At the end of the day where would you rather be, 10th place with +7 goal difference and 11 points off automatic promotion or would you rather be sitting in 3rd with +14 goal difference being 2 points off automatic promotion and 1st place? I know which I would prefer. ;) :ayatollah:

Fair play I think Miller has been a good signing for us. However I see no logic in your argument here. :?

It's just IF we go up, thats a big IF, fans need to be reminded how important Miller was, and how grateful of him we should be! you remember the posts at the start of the season? and that one 'MILLER UTTER SHIT'? This ones for them ;)

I was cautious when we signed him, but now i am well happy :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: P.S if we didnt have king Kenny then we would of had another striker who could of scored more or maybe less. So a bit pointless really :D

Always new he was class, you don't lead the line for Scotland consistantly unless you're a great player, he's scored goals at every level, and was always going to be a city favourite sooner or later. :ayatollah:

Yeah we might've had had another striker, but he could've started every game this season like he has and not scored any of those goals and would've been rendered useless, you get me?

We play one up front it wouldnt matter who we had they would have to score goals or be replaced i guess so stats mean nothing its like taking are defence away and doing some other stats

Think that may have been me!!!!! Certainly Miller has put me in my place. To quote another well known poster, I've been leathered. I will severely punish myself.

Good post by the way

I never really liked Miller. Dont know why. But I never doubted he'd do a bloody
good job at this level for us. I loves him now like :D

At the time we were looking at him one or two of the clueless brigade came on
here and used his stint at Derby in the Premiership as a guide. They'd just gone
on Wikipedia, seen he scored 6 goals in a season for them and decided he must
be shit.

Says it all really that we have a breed of fan (luckily, they seem to have gone into
hibernation) that gets their football knowledge from Fifa2011 and Wikipedia

Miller is the man for the 'bigger' games or so to speak
he can have a quiet game then BANG! comes up with the goods, especially in those so called bigger games (Blackburn, West Ham, Southampton)

Having Mason playing just behind allowed him to drop and get the ball which he does brilliantly and for a little guy, he is very good at holding the ball up :ayatollah:

and last season if we didn't hit the bar at palace,

and we never had two blunders from bywater , we would of been in the premier league

But we couldve bought a different striker instead who could've scored more goals.
