Selling Whitts for 3million would be absolute madness!

Whitts has scored 8 goals this season, produced 10 assists and hit the woodwork 8 times. 2 seasons ago he was the top scorer in the division FROM MIDFIELD with 22 league goals (5 more than 35 million pound Andy Carrol along with 10 assists! Last season he scored 11 with 10 assists. He can see a killer pass like no other player i have ever seen at this club with perhaps the exception of koumas. This year we have seen him add another dimension to his game in the way he tackles and the ground he covers. The guy hardly ever gives the ball away (and thats not because he's a sideways and backwards player like a david batty).

I have read on here that you cant ask for too much for him cos he's 27 and people only pay big money for potential! My argument would be that in whitts you're not paying for potential but the finished article. He has never relied on pace so he is likely to go on at the same level til he's about 35 like paul scholes.

Personally wouldn't even sell him for 7 million as i think he is irreplacable for us.

You all know my stance on the current board and how i am over the moon with the way they are currently going about things but even i would be tamping if the board decided to sell whitts this month for anything less than 6 million.

What people need to remember is that january is a sellers market and if teams were to come in for whitts now they will be desperate to get him to save their season, and if we do sell him realistically it will probably be the end of our season as we will probably have to panic buy to replace him.

I hope Whitts isn't having his head turned by someone and i hope he realises that the grass is always greener on the other side and i'm sure if he was to ask chops or jay they would confirm that they would rather be back at cardiff than where they find themselves now!

Has you say it would be madness but i think if we were offered 5m he would be gone because if Malky was given 4m of that i reckon he would bring in 3 quality players and as good has Whtts is I don't think he can do the work of 3 players

However personally i would hate to see him go and hope he stays and can be the catalyst for promotion this Season

hope he stays.... but unfortunately every player has a price

i def dont think whitts will be leaving city in january..
