Are you thinking of moving your business to Wales? Or are you thinking of setting up a new exciting venture in Wales?

We have just what you need to crap on those dreams!!!

Just when you thought it was safe - We bring you MORE BRIDGE TOLLS. Yes for a bargain price of just £6 per car we can ensure that your business is set up in Bristol or there abouts. And if that doesn't put you off going to Wales ask us about our van and lorry prices - they'll scare the crap out of your company accountants. Stay out of Wales and set up your business in England, you know it makes sense!

This was a party political broadcast by the Welsh Assembly Government - Rest assured we spend all our working day worrying about the important things like carrier bags whilst the rest of the world passes us by!

i agree the prices are shocking and potentially damage our economy there must be a way of reducing the toll

wouldn't mind paying it so much if the money went back in to welsh economy, and if there was a system where we paid for england but not for entering our own country. but doesn't most of the money go straight to france?

I think it's all over soon, yeah. Not sure of the exact date, though. Stupid f***ing idea in the first place.

Can't see why the french would want to give it back unless there's a legal agreement where they have to. That bridge would've paid for itself after approximately 10 years, then aside from maintenance and toll staff all the remaining toll money is profit

I'm sure I read somewhere that the contract runs out soon, though, so the French don't have a choice.

Yes Nedd, but do you honestly think our lads down Cardiff Bay got the balls to make sure it happens? That bridge is a massive cash cow and I can't see anyone giving it up that easy.
I heard there's an agreement in place that it moves over to the highways, meaning that it's maintanance etc will be no different from any other road or bridge. However I bet you any money that come the day some Bay politician will announce "a deal" full of "yeah but this" and "yeah but that", which basically ends up meaning we keep paying.

I used to work with the Tesco depot in Chepstow and recently they moved to Bristol siting the fact that bridge tolls alone cost the depot 3 million per year!!!!

Left/right wing agenda... counts for f**k all. the vast majority of ALL British MPs
are from legal backgrounds who have sat on committees, legislative bodies and such
shite. Hardly any of them have a background in the private sector. Politicians are just
politicians... talkers, grabbers and thieves.

David Cameron - perfect example. He RUNS the country... All he knows about life is
University and working for the Conservative party, apart from a little stint as a lobbyist
for a Television company.

I been paying that f ing bridge toll for 12 years and with the rise of fuel its riddicilous. No wonder nobody wants to set up a company in Wales. Thought we had the right to make our own desisions now so why the f##k doesnt the Welsh assembly sort it out.

Well Im sorry but the WAG has been run by Labour and are constantly putting more taxes on us even down to carrier bags!!!! If it was up to them we will be a communist state!!!

The thing with Socialists is that they want to keep the masses poor because the mindset of the masses will only change if they become better off.

What exactly are the Tories doing? Destroying the economy, creating mass amounts of unemployments, getting rid of benefits, poor or working class people are finding it hard to get on top of their bills. What are they doing about growth? Nothing.

Labour in this country has fought for more powers, kept the Uni fee at 3k, kept benefits, created an apprenticeship scheme called Pathways To Apprenticeship (a success) and done this with a bloody shoe string budget.

Yes the only sticking point there though MG is the fact that this Tory government have so far borrowed more than the last lot did. Here you go I'll do it in uppercase for you...

THIS TORY GOVERNMENT HAVE SO FAR BORROWED MORE THAN THE LAST LOT DID.

So if Labour were like an 18 year old with a credit card, what does that make this Tory government then? It's younger brother perhaps.

But then as long as the Tory controlled press tell you otherwise.....

The point of this post is kind of irrelevant as the bridge doesn't belong to the Welsh nation for us to "do something about it"!

However, if/when we ever gain ownership, and in the event that the GOVERNMENT of the day in Cardiff Bay decide to keep the tolls, we'll have two choices

1. Moan that the 'n'er do wells' down the Bay are incompetent...why do we need them?....jobs for the boys...why do we need the Assembly/...yadda yadda yadda

OR

2. Recognise it's the party in power to blame, not the institution....and vote them out at the next election!....Simple!

The only difference between a tory politician (or labour) and a thief would be the following
statements if they got caught with your wallet in their pocket.

Thief:

"Its a fair cop"

Tory politician (or labour):

"I admit it doesnt look good, but it was a mistake, even though i didnt deliberately
steal the wallet, I shall apologise for giving the impression that i did!, even though
i'm innocent"
