" WHERE DOES HE GO FROM HERE "

Robert Earnshaw ?

I was chuffed when we resigned Earnie, but it def looks like he is on his way or maybe I am wrong ?
Earnie cant even get on the bench now.

Malky was virtually handed Earnie when he arrived and Earnie is not really one of his signings.

What would you do with Earnie ?

The problem is, he is a very high earner, can other clubs afford him ?

loan him back to forest

Get shot.....Malkys ethos is all about the team and Earnie has never ever been a team player. I trust MM with decisions and if he decides earnies gotta go then goodbye again earnie.

Re: " WHERE DOES HE GO FROM HERE "

I still think he could be useful from the bench, but considering his wages & that Malky doesn't seem to rate him, I'd try & use him as bait to get another player in.

Foest would take him back at a glance. I think it would be a great move for him. The Forest fans want him back and he was popular there.

Re: " WHERE DOES HE GO FROM HERE "

At the moment we need to keep Earnie in case Miller gets an injury. Although I think he is behind Rudy and Joe Mason in the pecking order we could need him as cover should Kenny get injured.

If we manage to sign another striker during the transfer window however I really think Earnie needs to be loaned out if possible but as Annis says, his wages may be a problem to any club even willing to look at him.

One of the bigger clubs in League One perhaps?

Sell him or loan him out & use his wages for a player that malky wants

If he is avaliable on loan I don't think there'll be any shortage of takers. He doesn't suit malkys style(doesn't work hard enough off the ball, never part of his game)but the lad is still class and would do a very good job in most other sides in this div let alone div 1.

Its a shame about Earnie. He may well be good enough to play championship
football. But not for us.

Yes he was great in his time, But his time has gone, and if I was 100% honest I really dont think it was Malky that wanted him here. I believe after the cock up last season he was brought back here to try to lift the Fans after the way the other players let us down then went off to other clubs. I would love to know the truth , but I dont think he was a Malky picked player. :old:

Re: " WHERE DOES HE GO FROM HERE "

even when he was on the bench (like forest) he isnt used, seems well out of favour.

Seems we have a lot of players who are out of favour and could be on good wages,Quinn Gypes, Keinan, Parkin Earnie, wouldnt surprise me if thats around 50k (or more) a week that is dead money being lost. IMO losing these types of players will decide how many players come into the club in Jan

Re: " WHERE DOES HE GO FROM HERE "

Mon Jan 02, 2012 7:12 pm

Send him out on loan to a lower championship club so that he can do some damage against our rivals and have a 24hour recall.

Don't write Earnie off just yet-he is a goalscorer who will come in handy towards the end of the season. :ayatollah:

First thing is to play him at West Brom as we cannot afford to risk Kenny Miller getting injured, after that I think we should try to use him as a sweetener in trading for other players (McGugan).

I loved Earnie first time around at the club but right now who in their right mind would play him ahead of Miller or Mason, except in an FA Cup game which given where we are is not that important. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

My team to play WBA would be

Heaton
Quinn
Gypes
Evans

Conway
McPhail
Ralls
Kiss

Earnie
Gestede

From what i was told and was printed in some papers he was on £ 12 - £15k a week.
If he wanted to re sign - Forest were only going to give him half the above £6 - £9k max.
( i do not have that link to prove it ,but i did see the above figs )

As for at Cardiff i was shocked when i was told he was on more than when he left Forest :o

Re: " WHERE DOES HE GO FROM HERE "

Sadly players don't go back to their previous clubs and do it a second time. I always thought that
he would be a squad player this season and not a starter. It's obvious that Malky doesn't want him
because he'd rather start the kids,i think he'll be shipped out in January as i don't think he's a person
who would be happy doing nothing for his money.

Thats all correct Tony.

Forest are not paying the money these days, infact they are trying to get rid of their big wage players.

I know the Forest fans want him back but the board will only pay a fraction of the wages he is on here. Will it be worth sending him out?

Re: " WHERE DOES HE GO FROM HERE "

Mon Jan 02, 2012 7:32 pm

Forest will have to do something though, a loan will only cost the wage and if it saves them.

Put him straight back into the side and make him Captain.

I am of the opinion that players should never go back to their former club,if they had a brilliant start of their career, as Earnie did , it seldom works out, once a player has reached a certain age. I thought we might have learned our lesson from Koumas, and eve Brain Clark we the fans expect to much and the player tries to hard,to reach our and his expectations we cant turn back the clock.

I want to remember Earnie at his best and watch the DVD when he played with Leo and Peter Thorne, and was our star player, great days, but we have moved on as a club, and Earnie is no youngster.

Will Terry :D Henry turn back the clock at Arsenal ?

From what I know, which comes from lads who played and know Earnie from their youth days he wont want to move back out of South Wales.

Based on that, the most logical move would be Bristol City, which could have even more legs if, which looks likely, Nicky Maynard leaves in the window.

Interesting I wonder how many would fancy that one, Maynard here and Earnie the other way as a makeweight?
